Types of Codes :

1. Letter Coding -
In this type of questions, the letters in a word are replaced by certain other letters
according to a specific rule or pattern, to form its code.

2. Letter and Numerical Coding –


In this type of questions, either numerical values are assigned to a word or
alphabetical code values are assigned to a number. The letters or numbers
assigned follow a set of rules or a particular pattern.

3. Substitution Coding –

In substitution coding, some particular objects are assigned code names and then
the question asked is to be answered in that particular code language.

4. Deciphering Message word codes –


In such types of questions, the coded words are given in the form of numbers or
words. The coded words that are asked, are to be found on the basis of common
words or common numbers.

5. Reverse Lettering –

In this type of coding, the numerical value of any letter is subtracted from the
number 27, and the letter which represents the difference between them is
written.
