like gamification activities give a chance for learners and researchers. Gamification processes in creating games for experiencing and affects students, learners, and
researchers to achieve education. Gamification and its motivation give an opportunity that can change education forever and it is important in education. Their
methodology involved an extensive literature search across multiple academic databases, including Google Scholar, ACM Digital Library, IEEE Xplore, and
ScienceDirect, using search terms such as "gamification," "gamify," and "gameful" in combination with "education," "learning," or "training." The selected studies
were then categorized based on various dimensions, such as the specific gamification mechanisms used (e.g., points, badges, leaderboards), the educational
context (e.g., subject areas where gamification was applied), and the type of learning activities involved. The authors also assessed study objectives, whether they
aimed to enhance motivation, improve engagement, or measure learning outcomes. To evaluate the quality of evidence, they analyzed factors such as sample size,
study duration, control groups, data collection methods, and statistical analyses. This aligns with our research as it highlights the potential of gamification’s ability to
improve education, emphasizing its role in enhancing student skills, motivation, and achievement of educational goals. This supports our study as it demonstrates

Impact of Gamification on Students’ Learning Outcomes and Academic Performance: A Longitudinal Study Comparing Online, Traditional, and Gamified Learning
In a recent study by Jaramillo-Mediavilla et al., (2024), the researchers aimed to examine the existing evidence on gamification in educational settings, emphasizing
how it affects student motivation and academic performance. To do this, they analyzed 9 SLR articles from 2016-2022 using the Preferred Reporting Items for
Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) criteria. Their results showed that gamification has a significant effect on student motivation. And of the 9 articles
reviewed, 56% of the authors claimed that integrating gamification in educational settings promotes higher engagement, participation, and motivation among
students, leading to improved knowledge retention, collaboration, and academic skills. Based on these results, the researchers concluded that integrating game
features such as leaderboards and competition promotes student motivation, engagement, and knowledge retention, resulting in a more interactive learning
environment. Additionally, they stated that by having direct goals and immediate feedback, gamification facilitates essential thinking and active learning, leading to
improved academic performance. This makes the study relevant to our research because it shows how gamification strategies can enhance student motivation and
academic performance, aligning with our focus on how gamification can enhance student’s vocabulary proficiency through improved motivation to learn better

Gamification in English Language Teaching and Learning: Examining the effectiveness of gamified learning environment in motivating students and improving

frequently involve pre- and post-tests to measure language proficiency before and after the intervention, along with surveys and questionnaires to assess student
motivation, engagement, and perceptions of gamified learning. Classroom observations are also conducted to evaluate student participation and interaction within
the gamified environment. It studied gamification’s effects and found that it made learning fun and engaging for students. They also noticed an improvement in

Learning Outcomes, Motivation, and Satisfaction in Gamified English Vocabulary Learning
According to an article by Zhonggen Yu, the rapid development of information and communication technology in the twentieth century has led to an increasing
number of serious games being designed for educational and industrial purposes. For this study, a quasi-experimental mixed design was utilized in order to gain
results for non-gamified and gamified learning methods with the use of two experiments and a semi-structured interview with the former collecting quantitative data
and the latter collecting qualitative data. In order for the data to be properly distributed, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk tests are used in order to do so,
the result of the Mann-Whitney U test states that according to the data provided, there is no significant changes between the experimental and controlled group in
terms of vocabulary, motivation, and satisfaction levels at the start of the semester. The article highlights the effectiveness of gamified English vocabulary learning
in improving learning outcomes, motivation, and satisfaction based on two experiments and a semi-structured interview. This research is relevant to our study as it
focuses on the use of gamification to enhance English vocabulary proficiency, providing reliable results and demonstrating how it motivates learners through

vocabulary acquisition. The data were analyzed using Independent Sample T-tests to determine the statistical significance of the results. The analysis revealed a Sig

issues. The findings of this article support our research in highlighting the role of gamification in addressing challenges in English education and improving student
performance. Its use of the Winner English program and the improvement observed in the experimental group supports our study of gamification in VocabVoyage as
an effective method to boost students’ vocabulary proficiency and motivation.

Effects of Gamified Learning Activities in Enhancing Junior High School Students’ English Vocabulary Retention
In a study conducted in 2024 by Mina Samortin, the researchers aimed to investigate how Gamified Learning Activities (GLA) can enhance Filipino students'
vocabulary retention and to determine the effectiveness of this approach compared to traditional methods. The researchers used a quantitative experimental
design, utilizing a pretest-posttest control-group, and vocabulary games to assess the impact of GLA on vocabulary retention. The results showed that both groups
initially performed poorly, however post-test results showed significant improvement in the experimental group which used GLA. The researchers' T test analysis

Duolingo. The study's results demonstrated that students' engagement with learning through gamification was higher compared to traditional methods. This aligns
