SUT

SUT is an operating system (OS) utility that allows you to perform online firmware and driver
updates using the HPE iLO management network without the need for OS credentials.
The Smart Update Tools (SUT) is a HPE Smart Update Manager (SUM) extension that enables
HPE OneView and iLO Amplifier Pack to stage and apply updates automatically to reduce IT
operations.
New in Gen10 with iLO 5 is the iLO Repository, which allows SUM and SUT to perform online
firmware and driver updates using the iLO management network without the need for OS
credentials. It is installed with the latest SPP from the iLO list of firmware and OS software web
page.
These are the key features of Smart Update Tools (SUT).
 Support for HPE OneView external repository
 Support for HPE OneView staging, scheduling, and deployment of updates
 Support for HPE iLO Amplifier Pack
 Supports dependency and sequencing management between drivers and firmware
 Limits the number of reboots required for activation
 SUT supports Windows, Linux (Red Hat and SUSE), and VMware ESXi.
