The graph and table below give information about water use worldwide and water consumption in two
different countries.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where
relevant. Write at least 150 words.
Water consumption per
Country Population Irrigated land
person
Brazil 176 million 26,500 km² 359 m³
Democratic Republic of Congo 5.2 million 100 km² 8 m³
The accompanying line graph and table data disclose information about water usage worldwide, as well as a
comparison of water consumption, population, and irrigated lands in Brazil and Congo.
To begin, three major industries mostly consumed water: agriculture, industry, and the home sector. Second,
Brazilians consumed more water than Congolese.
According to the line graph data, the irrigational need for water was the dominant factor worldwide. This
consumption was roughly 500 Km3 in 1990, but it climbed dramatically to around 3000 Km3 in 2000. In
1990, industrial and home water consumption levels were nearly identical. Both of these water use patterns
remained consistent until 1950. Following that, the industrial sector consumed water at a high rate,
exceeding 1000 Km3 in 2000. After 1970, home water needs grew, but agricultural consumed the most
water.
The data shows that Brazil had a much larger population (176 million) than Congo (5.2 million). Brazil has
25,500 square kilometers of irrigated land, compared to Congo's 100 square kilometers. Finally, Brazilians
consumed 359 cubic meters of water per person, whereas Congolese citizens consumed only 8 cubic meters.

The charts below show the result of a survey of adult education. The first chart shows the reason why adults
decide to study. The pie chart shows how people think the costs of adult education should be shared.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where
relevant. Your writing should be at least 150 words.
The graphs depict the results of an adult education research study. The first image depicts the motivation of
an adult who is determined to study. The second image depicts people's perspectives on how the cost of
adult education should be shared.
According to the data provided, the primary reason for adult education is an interest in subjects. However,
meeting new people is seen as the least desirable reason to study. Meanwhile, the second image depicts
several assumptions on how to pay for adult education costs. Individual spending becomes the most popular
of the available possibilities.
As can be observed, the majority of adults want to pursue studies because they are interested in the subjects.
Indeed, it provides 40% and appears to be the most favorable alternative when compared to the others.
Nonetheless, acquiring new friends ranks as the lowest criterion, accounting for less than 10%.
Furthermore, the following graph clearly shows how education costs in each course must be dealt with. It
demonstrates that individuals should bear the majority of the costs, with exactly 40% managed by them. In
contrast, taxpayers should bear 25% of the expense, with employers covering the remaining 35%.
