Set up the Klipper Printer Additions (KPA)

Quick Guide
1. With your web browser... Upload the "printer_additions" folder to your
printer.
2. Inside the uploaded folder, rename the file
___module_loader_template.cfg
to
___module_loader.cfg
Note the three underscores at the beginning of the file name.
3. Open the ___module_loader.cfg file and chose your desired modules.
4. Open your "[Link]" file and scroll down to this text line:
<---------------------- SAVE_CONFIG ---------------------->
5. Right above the "SAVE_CONFIG" line insert this text block:
# Klipper Printer Additions Start
[include printer_additions/___module_loader.cfg]
# Klipper Printer Additions End
6. Double check the location of the include line, as in Step 4 and 5 described!
7. Should you have an older [include...] text line from a previous version of
the Klipper Printer Additions, delete it.
8. In your slicer, make sure the g-code mode is set to "Klipper" if available -
otherwise "Marlin".
9. In your slicer, make sure the Extruder mode is set to "Relative".
You are done here, in case you use the "OrcaSlicer Presets for Sovol

10. Otherwise follow the Setup Guide for your slicer app in the download of the
Klipper Printer Additions.

How to access / chose your printer's web interface
---------------------------------------------------------------
Mainsail and fluidd are two different web interfaces that your Klipper-printer
offers. Which one it is depends on what the printer's vendor has installed.
It could be that your printer offers both web interfaces, fluidd and Mainsail. To
find out, you can try these URLs in your web browser, with port 80 and 81:
<your printer's ip address>:81
<your printer's ip address>:80

It could be that the ports are completely different - refer to your printer's
manual in that case.
If you don't know the IP address of your printer, you will find it in the web
interface of your router.
You have now opened Mainsail, or fluidd in your web browser.
Step 1.
Upload the Printer Additions to your printer.

For uploading a folder to your printer, fluidd is easier to use than Mainsail.
To upload with fluidd:
• Click the "{...}" icon at the left side. You are now in the config directory.
• Click the "+" icon, and chose "Upload Folder".
• Upload from your hard drive the folder "printer_additions"
To upload with Mainsail:
• Click "Machine" at the left side. You are now in the config directory.
• Click the "Create Directory" icon (symbol with a folder and a plus).
• Name the folder "printer_additions".
• Click onto the just created "printer_additions" folder, to navigate into it.
• Click onto the "Upload file" icon (symbol with a document and up-arrow).
• Select all files in the folder "printer_additions" at once, to upload them all
at once.
• Rename the file (right-click on it):
___module_loader_template.cfg
to
___module_loader.cfg
Note the 3 underscores at the beginning of the file name. They must be there.
If you don't rename correctly you will later get the following error:
"...printer_additions/___module_loader.cfg' does not exist"
• Chose your desired modules
Open the file ___module_loader.cfg and enable the modules you wish to use
(details are in the file described).
By default all common modules are enabled, except the Printer modules,
as they are specific for a printer model, and not compatible with other
printers.
Step 2.
Add one text line to your [Link] file.

With fluidd:
• Click the "{...}" icon at the left side. You are now in the config directory.
With Mainsail:
• Click "Machine" at the left side. You are now in the config directory.
You will see now the "[Link]" file (if not, sort by newest modification
date).
There might be a lot of other "[Link]" files with numbers
(date_time). These are just automated backups of your "[Link]" file, and
don't do anything. You may hide them by clicking the gear-icon and enable
"Hide backup files".
• Click the "[Link]" file to open it.
• Now scroll down, and look for the following text line (it is located where the
colored text ends):

• Above the "---- SAVE_CONFIG-----" text line, copy & paste this text block:
# Klipper Printer Additions Start
[include printer_additions/___module_loader.cfg]
# Klipper Printer Additions End
• The position of the "[include printer_additions/..." text line is important,
please verify.
Your [Link] should now look like the following:
• Leave at least one free line under the last colored text line. This is in this
example that blue "shaper_freq_y", and in your case likely something different.
• Click "Save & Restart".
• In the Console of Mainsail / fluidd you will see the KPA have loaded:
• To set up your slicer app, follow the Setup Guide for your slicer in the
download of the Klipper Printer Additions.
