What is a Presentation Package?

A presentation package or program is a software package used to display information in the


form of arslide show. Presentation packages are designed to accompany the speaker when he
makes a presen- tation It has three major components or functions:
■An editor that allows text to be inserted and formatted,
■A method for inserting and manipulating graphic images, and
■A slide-show system to display the content.
Features of Presentation Software

catching and effective presentations. A presentation comprises of individual slides arranged in a
sequential manner.
Features of Powerpoint 2013

Presentation Views :-
1. Normal View :- Normal view splits your screen into three major sections: the Outline and
Slides tabs, the Slide pane, and the Notes area. The outline and slides tabs are on the left side
of your window.
2. Outline View :- Outline view is suitable for editing. You can move from one slide to another
easily in outline view.
3. Slide Sorter View :- Slide sorter view permits you to see all the slides of a presentation
simultaneously at one place.
4. Notes Page View :- In normal view, you can add notes to a slide. When you are in notes page
view, you can see and edit notes in a large placeholder.
5. Reading View :- Reading view plays the slide show in the PowerPoint window that permits
you to check the animations and transitions.

1. Rearranging Slides: You can easily reorder your slides by dragging and dropping them into
the desired position. This is helpful when you want to change sequence of your presentation.
2. Slide Transition Planning: In Slide Sorter view, you can see a visual representation of each
slide, making it easier to plan and set slide transitions. You can quickly identify where to add or
modify transitions between slides.
3. Slide Duplication: If you want to duplicate a slide, you can simply select it in Slide Sorter view
and copy/paste it. This saves time when you need to create similar slides/reuse content.
4. Slide Selection and Editing: Slide Sorter view allows you to select multiple slides at once,
making it convenient for applying consistent formatting or making bulk changes to your
presentation.
