Scene 1: Golden Ticket Discovery

(Charlie enters his small house, holding a golden ticket in disbelief.)

Charlie: Grandpa Joe! Look! I found a Golden Ticket!


Grandpa Joe: Jumping crocodiles, Charlie! You’re going to Willy Wonka’s
factory!

Charlie’s Mom: Oh, Charlie, this is wonderful!

Grandpa Joe: I’m coming with you!

Scene 2: The Factory Gates

(The children and their guardians gather at the gates. Willy Wonka steps out,
smiling.)

Willy Wonka: Welcome, dear guests! I’m so delighted to have you here.
Please, follow me into a world of pure imagination!

Scene 3: Chocolate River

(Inside the factory, they arrive at a room with a chocolate river. Augustus
Gloop leans in to drink.)

Willy Wonka: Careful, Augustus! That river is not for swimming.

Augustus: (guzzles chocolate) Mmm… too good!


(Augustus falls into the river and is sucked up a pipe.)

Willy Wonka: Oh dear. Well, onwards!

(Oompa Loompas sing a song about gluttony.)

Scene 4: The Nut Room

(Veruca Salt sees trained squirrels testing nuts.)

Veruca: Daddy, I want a trained squirrel!

Willy Wonka: They only choose good nuts, not bad ones.

(Veruca tries to grab one but is judged a “bad nut” and dropped down the
garbage chute.)

Willy Wonka: Oops. Next room!

(Oompa Loompas sing about spoiled children.)

Scene 5: The Gum Experiment

(Violet grabs an experimental gum and chews it.)


Violet: Wow! It tastes like a whole meal!

(She starts turning purple and inflating.)

Willy Wonka: I wouldn’t have chewed that…

(Oompa Loompas roll her away.)

Scene 6: The Television Room

(Mike Teavee jumps onto a machine that shrinks him into a tiny version of
himself.)

Mike: Whoa! This is cool but… I’m tiny!

Willy Wonka: Take him to the stretching machine.

(Oompa Loompas sing about watching too much TV.)

Scene 7: The Elevator and the Prize

(Only Charlie remains. Willy Wonka leads him to a glass elevator.)


Willy Wonka: Charlie, you have won! My factory is yours!

Charlie: Really?!

Willy Wonka: Yes! You have a kind heart, and that is the greatest quality of
all.

(They soar over the city in the glass elevator, as Grandpa Joe cheers.)
