DMAIC Project
In this report, I will look at the problem of Manufacturing scrap parts using the process
DMAIC, which stand for Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control. In the project I’m going
to Define the problem. I’m going to measure the process performance. Then I’m going to analyze
and determine root causes of variation and poor performance (defects). Moreover, I am going to
improve the process performance by addressing and eliminating the root causes. And finally,
Control and improved the process and future process performance.
Define
Banks Manufacturing, a manufacture of Aerospace parts, is having problems with scrap
parts. Using the five steps of Six Sigma . The first step is Define. Defining the problem, which is
the problem that we are having with scrap parts. Therefore, we are having issues with parts that
are out of around and also, problems with holes under side.
Measure
Process map for recording the activities performed as part of a process. After recording all
performed process we have determined that everything is satisfactory. Therefore, we have done a
process cababilities or process cabilities and reaches equilibrium, take roughly 30 samples and
calculate their standard deviation;
Moreover, we introduce a pareto chart, in which is going to let us to analyze the frequency of
the problems or causes of them. After taking
