Note on the Baraberie permit
The Baraberie perimeter is located in eastern Senegal in a granite environment where
mainly monzogranites and biotite and especially muscovite granites appear. The structures
are of magmatic and tectono-metamorphic origin. The vein system includes various quartz
and pegmatite veins and veins.
Results of the work carried out on this site
- The geochemical sampling of termite mounds had given average
Li contents of 40 ppm.
- Sampling carried out on rock outcrops gave grades ranging from 300 to 800
ppm with an average of 500ppm in the prospect areas.
These encouraging results justified the execution of a program of 8 trenches totaling 483
mr. The grooving type sampling was done at the base of the trenches (saprolitic level).
- The most interesting results of the trench sampling (saprolitic level)
ID trench coat Intercept (Li) From (m) To (m) Length (m)
TR1 212ppm @ 4m 2 6 4
TR1 221ppm @ 44m 10 54 44
TR1 319ppm @ 4m 26 30 4
TR2 219ppm @ 3m 0 3 3
TR2 250ppm @ 36m 9 45 36
TR2 327ppm @ 4m 27 31 4
TR2 166ppm @ 30m 48 78 30
TR4 200ppm @ 6m 22 28 6
TR4 207ppm @ 11m 50 61 11
TR7 146ppm @ 17m 0 17 17
TR7 142ppm @ 10m 66 76 10
In addition to these results, the selective sampling, carried out at the same time
as the channeling, on the fresh rock, also gives results with a much higher
grade, for example one notes a result on a rock sampled near the trench. 1, gives
contents greater than 500 ppm in Li.
The results of these trenches therefore resulted in obtaining these significant
lithiniferous values. The Company will therefore continue to focus its exploration efforts
in the areas surrounding trenches 1, 2, 4 and 7, in particular the area of trenches 1 and 2.
In these sectors, a significant exploration budget will be allocated for a 1500m reverse
circulation drilling program ("RC"; Reverse Circulation) in order to better understand
the geological controls, the continuity of mineralization in the Seine pegmatitic rock
and to obtain better lithiniferous contents.
Exploration program for the next 18 months
- Realization of 7000 ml of RC drilling
- Metallurgical studies
- Estimation of resources and reserves and geological modeling
