What they are?
Are subordinate clauses that are used to talk
about actions or events that will occur in the
future in relation to the main action of the
sentence.
Form
A complex sentence about future time has two clauses: a main
clause anda a time clause.
I’m going to be an aastronaunt when I grow up.

The verb in the main clause is often in the future

The verb in the time clause is often in the present
Be Careful!!!
Don’t use will or be going to in the future time clause
When I save enough money, I’m going to buy a car.

Example: I'll call you when I
will occur first, followed by the

Strategies for Solving
Before
Example: She will finish her
homework before she goes
to bed. Characteristic: The action
of finishing homework (main
action) will precede the
action of going to bed.
After
Example: We'll eat dinner after we watch the movie.
Feature: The action of watching the movie (main action)
will precede the action of dining.
As soon as
Example: I'll leave as soon as the meeting ends.
Feature: The action of ending the meeting (main action)
will precede the action of leaving.
Practice:
1. They will own a house by the time they are married.
2. She won’t start her own business until she gets more
experience.
3. As soon as he becomes manager, he’s going to take a
vacation.
Conclusion
In conclusion, future time clauses help to establish
temporal relationships between actions or events in a
sentence, allowing clear communication about what will
