A. RESEARCH DESIGN
→ a strategy for answering your research question.
It defines your overall approach and determines
how you will collect and analyze data.
→ Blue-print of your study

EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH DESIGN
A quantitative research design that bases its research on a scientific activity called
experiment, in which a test or examination of a thing under a manipulated or
controlled environment is done to determine its validity
Concerned primarily with the cause-and-effect relationships in studies that involve
manipulation or control of variables
applies the principle known as Method of Difference

A. TRUE EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN
A design is considered a true experiment when the ff criteria are present:
a. Reseacher manipulated the experimental variables
b. Researcher has control over the independent variables, as well as the
treatment and the subjects
c. There must be one experimental group and control group
d. Subjects are randomly assigned either to the comparison or experimental
group
e. Control group does not receive any treatment
B. PROCEDURE
→ Detailed process on how to create your desired
output
CONSIDERATIONS
• Procedure/s must be written in paragraph form
• Do not write in recipe-style
• Use your references
• It must be detailed
C. DATA
COLLECTION
→ How are you going to answer your sub-problems?
