Materials and tools:
● Yarn. I used fingering weight cotton yarn, 125m=50g (137yd=50g) / 1:
super fine / 4 ply / 14 wpi. You will need about 5 - 10g of orange color , 5
- 7g of green color, 5-7g of brown color
● Polyester fiberfill, wadding etc. for stuffing.
● 1,75 mm crochet hook
● Yarn needle, scissors, stitch marker.
Abbreviations:
ch - chain
sl st - slip stitch
sc - single crochet stitch
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet stitch
inc - increase
dec - decrease
Size:
• diameter - 3,5 cm (1,4")
• height - 5 cm (2")
Pattern notes:
This apricot was made in three parts - the apricot, the tail and the leaf.
First we will crochet the apricot. Then a tail is crocheted from the apricot. When
the apricot and the leaf are crocheted separately, they are sewn together.
All stitches are crocheted into both loops. If you want the apricot to be
ribbed - all stitches are crocheted through the back loop.
The apricot is crocheted in a spiral. Use a stitch marker to mark the end or
the beginning of a round. Move the marker up after completing each round.
Leaf is crocheted back and front.
APRICOT
With an orange color, make a magic ring.
1. 6 sc in magic ring (6)
2. 6 inc (12)
3. (sc, inc) x 6 (18)
4. (2 sc, inc) x 6 (24)
5-7. 24 sc (24)

9-11. 30 sc (30)

Stuff the apricot tightly.

Tighten the remaining 6 loops with a needle. Leave a long tail.
If your apricot is ribbed - pull the thread dividing the apricot under the
half loops and secure each division with a knot. Then thread the needle through
the center of the apricot. Repeat it twice in the same place.
If your apricot is smooth - pull the thread from the top core to the bottom
core. Secure each division with a knot. Then thread the needle through the
center of the apricot. Repeat it twice in the same place.
Fasten the thread. Hide the end of the thread in the apricot.
TAIL
Attach the brown thread to the center of the top of the apricot.
1. Make 6 ch
2. 5 sl st from the second loop from the hook.
Cut the yarn. Draw the end of the thread through the last loop and pull
tight to fasten off.
Tie the ends of the threads and hide them inside the apricot with a crochet
hook.
LEAF
With a green yarn
1. Make a chain - ch 9
2. sc in 2nd loop from hook, 2 hdc, 3 dc, hdc, (sc, 3 ch, sl st in 2nd loop
from hook, sc) - in last loop, hdc, 3 dc, 2 hdc, sc, sl st in the beginning of
the chain
3. 3 ch
Leave a long tail for sewing. Cut the yarn. Sew a leaf to the brown part of
the tail or to the center of apricot. Hide tails inside the apricot with a crochet
hook.
And that's it. Your apricot is ready :)
