Cherry Balls
May look similar to a peanut but are more
SPONGES tightly wrapped and stiffer. These sponges are used
for blunt tissue dissection.
Operating Sponge (OS)
Used to absorb blood and other fluids as well
as clean wounds.

Cottonoids
Used for absorption, fluid management, tissue
protection and dissection in neurosurgical procedures.

Visceral Pack
Used mostly during abdominal and thoracic
surgery or in deep wounds to absorb fluids; however,
they can also be used to “wall off” the surgical site.
