This study seeks to determine the Factors Affecting the Academic Performance in

Practical Research of Humanities and Social Sciences Students in Mariveles Senior


High School Sitio Mabuhay S.Y 2024-2025.

1. What are the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of:


a) Sex – According to Lewine (2016), in study entitled “Examining the Ways in
Which Biological Differences Based on Sex Affect Behaviour and Cognitive
Function”, aimed to investigate the impact of sex and relationships education
on the needs of individuals identifying as sexual and/or gender minorities.
the study aims to develop methods for investigating gender disparities in
psychology by enhancing understanding of societal messages and gendered
expectations in sex education settings. it emphasizes the importance of
recognizing environmental, genetic, and hormonal factors affecting male and
female outcomes.

b. Section

c. Academic performance in PR1/PR2 – According to Musleh (2024), in the


study entitled “Factors Affecting Academic Performance of Students”,
academic performance is crucial for a nation’s future, but various factors can
hinder it, leading to failure and burnout. factors like age, gender, and topic
interest, along with financial and family obligations, can cause mental
difficulties and impact long-term goals.

2. What is the level of difficulty in the academic factors affecting students that can
be described in terms of:
a) Personal – According to Gu & Sok (2021), in the study entitled “Anxiety
and Depression Among Students”, discovered a strong connection between
the academic achievement of young adults and their mental health. students’
academic performance was frequently impacted by elements such as anxiety
and depression, as well as motivation, stress, social support, and confidence.

b) Socialization – According to Eisenberg (2020), in the study entitled


“Awareness on Socialization Practices”, socialization is crucial for societal
functioning, as it helps organizations stay productive and beneficial to the
community.
c) Quality of members – According to Liao, C. H. (2010), the study suggests
that research of members can be enhanced through social influence and
collaboration, with the diversity of team members and the unique knowledge
of each researcher contributing to the overall quality of the research.

d) Resources - According to Wiley & Sons (2024), the new coverage to make
an essay and references in research projects includes social media data-
scraping techniques, AI and ChatGPT, fieldwork and interviewing, digital
ethnography, working with neurodivergent populations, adopting digital and
traditional archival approaches, and much more resources that can be used.

e) Teacher factor – According to Byukusenge et al., (2023), in the study


entitled “Teacher Student Relationship”, teachers play a crucial role in
providing students with the support and motivation they need to succeed in
school and life. establishing close relationships with students is essential for
professional preparation. research shows that better communication between
teachers and students leads to more motivated students.
