PRE CHECKS FOR FOOTING CONCRETING
1 PCC top surface dust to be cleaned before placing of reinforcement.
Markings should be given over p.c.c with thin line dory by using paint /white

cement/lime / red oxide for column and footing sizes over the PCC bed.
Bar bending schedule to be prepared by conractor and to be endorsed by site engineer
3 to minimise the wastage and a sample of chair to be approved by site engineer and
record to be maintained properly.
Mat bars cutting lengths to be followed by considering the cover mentioned in drawing
4
and also the vertical height of the footing.
5 Main reinforcement "L" in footing turned up as per the GFC drawing
Column bars have to be staggered to avoid over lapping at one place (12mrts bars of full

length to be cut in 7mrts & 5mrts length bars).
7 No of bars,bar sizeand spacing checked and found OK as per GFC drawing
8 center alignment of column reinforcement checked and found ok
9 The reinforcement column is placed as per the orientation of the column
10 The eccentricity of the column /Footing is checked and found OK.
11 Adequate side supports for sides of box provided
12 Tieing of rods at the junctions should be four sides (double knot. ) with binding wire.
13 column reinforcement bars tied upto stirrups are in plumb
14 Adequate cover blocks provided at bottom of footing and sides of main reinforcement
15 Footing box properly anchored to PCC below and all gaps sealed

CHECK DURING FOOTING CONCRETING


1 Cleaning/Dewatering done before actual concreting
Markings, Column & footing orientation to be checked by Site Engineer before placing

the mat and column in position.
Cover blocks are to be provided properly below matt and sides. As per site engineer

requirement.
All four sides of shuttering are to be fixed properly. The size of the shuttering, diagonal,
4
and height of shuttering are to be checked.
5 Depth of footing shall be marked with paint/ tieng binding wire/ tieng rod.
6 The grade of the concrete is to be checked as per the drawing.
M30 Grade
7 Required number of Cubes to be casted and slump record to be maintained.

POST CHECK FOR FOOTING CONCRETING


1 Date of casting shall be recorded on the footing surface with paint.
2 Dimensions Length Depth Width Found ok.
Proper curing with Ponding/ gunny bags shall be ensured for a minimum period of 14
3
days.
