Skills Needed
Beginner crochet skills and basic sewing skills.
Materials Needed
Yarn: You can use any type of yarn of your choosing. The
yarn pictured is Parfait Chunky. Link to Premier Yarns.
Crochet Hook: E 3.5 MM (weight 4), G 4.25 MM (Parfait
Chunky), H 5 MM (Sweet Snuggles Lite), K 6.5 MM
(blanket yarn). **Crochet hook size depends on tension.
You might need to go up or down a hook size.

Assembly
Sew tail fin to the back of the body so that
the bottom of the tail sits flush with the
bottom of the body. It helps to pin the tail
and stretch it a bit while you sew. Stuff the
tail well.
Sew front fins to row 19 towards the sides of
the body.
Place safety nose between rows 1-2 of the
nose, if using. Sew nose centered between
the eyes, between rows 7-12. Make sure you
curve the nose a bit before sewing. Lightly
stuff as you sew.
For a more seamless look, sew
the tail on by entering your
needle around the post as
shown here.
Place safety nose, or
felt nose between the
two rows of sc,
towards the top of
the crocheted nose,
not the center.
