Responsibilities of a Data Analyst

6. ETL Processes – Extract, transform, and load data for analysis.
7. Predictive Analytics & Forecasting – Use machine learning or statistical models to predict

approaches.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Collection & Management
• Gather and integrate data from multiple sources, including databases, APIs, and external
datasets.
• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency by performing data cleaning and
transformation.
• Manage and maintain data pipelines and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
2. Data Analysis & Insights Generation
• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
• Perform statistical analysis, A/B testing, and hypothesis testing to derive meaningful insights.
• Utilize SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation, aggregation, and analysis.
3. Reporting & Visualization
• Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel to present
insights clearly.
• Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Create data visualizations that effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
4. Business Intelligence & Decision Support
• Work closely with business teams to understand their data needs and provide actionable
insights.
• Support strategic decision-making by analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and
business metrics.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide data-driven recommendations.
5. Advanced Analytics & Predictive Modeling (Optional)
• Use machine learning techniques for predictive analytics and forecasting.
• Develop statistical models to improve business processes and outcomes.
• Implement data-driven solutions to optimize marketing, sales, and operational strategies.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
• Present findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Work closely with IT, engineering, and business teams to align data initiatives with business
objectives.
• Document data processes, methodologies, and best practices for knowledge sharing.
Key Skills & Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in a data analytics, business intelligence, or similar role.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., PL-300 Power BI, Google Data Analytics, SQL certifications) are
a plus.
