How to USE Your Mini Book
here’s how it works!
1. You, the teacher, give your student one totally awesome, fully assembled mini-book.
2. The student diligently fills in the correct note name for each note. There is one note for every day of the
month.
3. Certain days are specially marked as clues. When the student writes in the correct letter name for a “clue
note,” they will then write that letter on the final page as well. Each letter reveals a little more of a silly joke.
4. For example: The student figures out that Day 3 shows an E, so they write down “E.” If Day 3 is marked as a
“clue day,” they will also look in the back of the book for the blank marked “3.” They will also write “E” in
the blank.
5. You can check their progress each week, or wait til the end of the month to have them show you their
work.
6. Once the month is complete, the student will hopefully have completed their mini book and figured out
the secret joke at the end!
