Methodology

This chapterpresents the methods of the reaserch conducted. In this study, the
researchers used subjective sampling in which they use used oil as it is the subject
of the study. The study was conducted in the researcher’s residence in Butuan
City.

Procedure
Materials needed
 Corn starch (1 tablespoon for every cup of oil)
 Water (1/4 cups for every cup of oil)
 Used oil(1 cup)

1. Mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch to ¼ cups of water to create a slurry.


2. Stir the mixture until the cornstarch dissolves.
3. Heat you used oil gently over low heat only (don’t let it simmer).
4. Pour the slurry on the oil and stir constantly with a cooking ladle until the
starch
5. mixture begins to solidify for 10-12 minutes.
6. Remove oil from heat and strain through fine-mesh strainer or use slotted
spoon to fish out gelled mixture.
