FINANCIAL SERVICES
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
1. To apply marketing concepts for developing marketing strategies for financial services.
2. To understand the process and stages involved in the development of financial products
meeting ethical and social needs.
3. Bloom’s Level 4 – Analyse, 5 – Evaluate, and 6 – Design
DESCRIPTION
1. The project work is for 10 marks, which is to be done in admin groups (roll number wise) of
5 students.
2. The groups need to design a financial service. The following category of financial services can
be selected:
a. Consumer credit
b. Corporate credit
c. Broking
d. Insurance management
e. Asset Management
The groups are required to submit the project details by filling out the following Google form on
or before 10 February 2025. MFS Project Details
3. The groups are required to give a presentation for 5 marks. Each group presentation will be
30 mins. Each group member will have to speak for at least 5 minutes. (refer to the rubric
for details).
4. The group shall also submit a report that should be academically written. The structure of
the report is given in the following section.
STRUCTURE
1. Introduction of the Company, its scope and orientation, value proposition and the study of
consumer behaviour
2. Segmentation, Targeting and Positioning
3. Branding and Product
4. Pricing, distribution, and promotion
5. People, process, and physical environment and a conclusion which may include
sustainability efforts, social and cause marketing, and ethics.

Each group member should take one section and provide the list of references used. There is 0%
tolerance for plagiarism and AI writing. The word limit for each section is 1500 words, including
tables and figures. Tables and figures (pictures/images) must have captions, and the source
should be mentioned.
