*"During my clinical rotations at R2TMC, I was exposed to high-pressure environments, especially in the
Operating Room and Emergency cases. I learned to stay calm, focus on the task at hand, and prioritize patient
care. For example, when assisting in the Delivery Room during an emergency C-section, I maintained composure
and followed the instructions of my supervisors carefully to ensure patient safety."*

5. Describe a time you had a conflict with a colleague. How did you handle it?

*"During my clinical training, I experienced a situation where there was a miscommunication with another
student about patient documentation. I approached them calmly, clarified the situation, and we discussed how to
avoid similar issues in the future. It taught me the importance of clear communication and teamwork in ensuring
patient safety."*

6. How would you handle a patient refusing treatment?

*"If a patient refuses treatment, I would first listen to their concerns and try to understand their reasons. I
would then provide clear, simple explanations about the benefits of the treatment and the possible risks of refusal.
If they still refuse, I would respect their decision while documenting it properly and informing the attending
physician."*
7. How do you ensure patient safety?

*"Patient safety is my top priority. I ensure it by strictly following hospital protocols, verifying patient
identities before any procedures, and double-checking medications before administration. I also adhere to proper
hand hygiene and infection control practices, which I learned during my training in the Operating and Medical
Wards."*

8. How do you prioritize patient care when you have multiple patients?

*"I prioritize patient care based on the urgency of their condition. For example, during my clinical rotation in
the Medical Ward, I learned to assess patients using the ABC (Airway, Breathing, Circulation) approach and
address life-threatening conditions first. I also make sure to reassess patients regularly and adjust priorities as
needed."*

9. Describe a time when you made a mistake in patient care. How did you handle it?**

*"During my training in the Medical Ward, I once prepared to administer medication but realized I hadn't
verified the patient’s identity according to the protocol. I immediately stopped, corrected the process, and ensured
I followed the proper steps moving forward. This experience taught me the importance of thoroughness and
attention to detail in every step of patient care."*

10. How do you stay updated with the latest nursing practices and healthcare trends?

*"I stay updated by attending nursing seminars, reading medical journals, and participating in online courses
related to nursing. I also follow updates from professional organizations like the Philippine Nurses Association
and DOH to keep myself informed about new guidelines and best practices."*

11. How would you handle a situation where you disagree with a doctor’s orders?

*"If I have concerns about a doctor’s order, I would first review the patient’s chart to ensure I fully understand
the situation. If the concern remains, I would respectfully approach the doctor to clarify and discuss my
observations. If needed, I would follow hospital protocol and consult with a supervisor to ensure patient safety."*

12. Can you describe your experience with electronic health records (EHR)?

During my training in MMG, Solano, I had the chance to use the HER, by entering patient’s information
during admission, sending e-prescription to CSR and pharmacy and also updating the patients information during
discharge.

13. What would you do if you noticed a colleague not following proper protocol?

*"If I noticed a colleague not following proper protocol, I would address the situation calmly and respectfully.
I would remind them of the correct procedure, especially if it concerns patient safety. If the issue persists or poses
a risk, I would report it to a supervisor according to hospital policy."*

14. How do you handle emotional or grieving family members?

*"I approach grieving family members with empathy and active listening. During my time in the Delivery
Room at R2TMC, I learned how to comfort families experiencing difficult situations by offering emotional
support and ensuring they felt heard. I also make sure to provide clear, compassionate updates about the patient’s
condition."*

15. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?**

*"In five years, I see myself as a skilled and experienced nurse of this hospital, possibly specializing in a
department like the Operating Room or Delivery room. I hope to take on more responsibilities, such as mentoring
new nurses, and contribute to the hospital's mission of providing high-quality patient care."*
