REFLECTION
Undertaking research as a subject in school has been a dynamic voyage, weaving through the
intricacies of academic inquiry and real-world application. As we embarked on our research
project, titled "Primary Health Care Workers’ Attitudes Towards Diabetes Type 2 Management in
Relation to Patients Satisfaction in Selected Rural Health Units in Tarlac City, Tarlac," the
multifaceted nature of this endeavor became apparent, shaping our collective understanding.
Research, as a subject in school, has been a constant companion, presenting challenges and
opportunities for growth. The intricacies of formulating research questions, designing
methodologies, and presenting findings have been both intriguing and demanding. The journey
has been a dynamic interplay of theory and practice, emphasizing the importance of bridging
the gap between classroom learning and real-world application.
Our research journey commenced with the formulation of a compelling title, setting the stage for
the subsequent proposal presentation. This phase served as a reminder that research is not a
solitary pursuit but a collaborative effort requiring the collective diligence of a team. The scrutiny
of our professors during the presentation not only revealed the potential pitfalls in our approach
but also provided a roadmap for improvement.
Consultations with our professors emerged as a cornerstone of our research experience. These
sessions not only offered insights into refining the technical aspects of our study but also
underscored the mentorship role professors play in guiding students through the intricacies of
research. The corrections and feedback received were not mere adjustments but valuable
lessons in precision, depth, and academic rigor.
Collaborative brainstorming sessions in the library added a layer of richness to our experience.
These sessions, held after classes, provided a space for open dialogue, enabling us to
collectively discuss improvements and corrections. The exchange of ideas not only
strengthened the quality of our research but also fostered a sense of shared responsibility and
ownership.
Implementing corrections became a meticulous process, involving a revisit of references, a
refinement of data analysis methodologies, and a clarification of data gathering procedures.
Each correction was a thread weaving into the fabric of our final paper, transforming it into a
comprehensive and impactful study.
The Case Defense marked a significant milestone in our journey, where our research faced
critical evaluation. It was a moment of joy to witness that the positive feedback outweighed the
negative. The affirmations and commendations from our professors during the defense served
as validation for our collective efforts and the growth we had experienced.
In conclusion, the research journey has been transformative, imparting not only technical skills
but also a deeper understanding of the responsibility that comes with contributing to academic
discourse. As we approach the culmination of this research endeavor, I am reminded that

contributions to the communities we study. The subject of research, as experienced in school,
has equipped me with the tools to navigate this dynamic journey and has instilled in me a sense
