Full-time university students spend a lot of time studying. Some say they should do other activities too.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?

In contemporary society, some people think that full-time university students spend a lot of time
studying, so they should participate in other activities. I agree with this idea.

On the one hand, students indeed need to spend their time studying. Studying is the most important
responsibility of university students because it provides both knowledge and practical skills for their
future careers that may decide their living standards and maintain their finances. As a result, students
should focus on their studies to strive for the best academic achievements which require a significant
amount of time studying. However, the success of people is not only defined by how many academic
results they get but also because of other skills and abilities, such as communication, leadership, and
independence which are essential for almost all careers.

Because of the reasons mentioned above, I strongly believe that students also should engage in other
activities. In this day and age, the obsession with academic achievements has become a serious issue
that causes pressure and anxiety for both students and their parents, contributing to a high rate of
depression and stress among youngsters. Therefore, university students should participate in other
activities instead of using all their time to study, such as extracurricular activities and volunteering, to
relax their minds and expand their networks, all of which are crucial for their personal development.

In conclusion, while studying is an important mission of students, I believe that they also need to engage
in other activities to achieve comprehensive development.

In contemporary society, it is often argued that full-time university students devote a significant amount
of time to studying and should also participate in other activities. I strongly agree with this idea.

On the one hand, students undeniably need to dedicate considerable time to their studies. Academic
work is the primary responsibility of university students, as it equips them with the knowledge and
practical skills necessary for their future careers. These skills ultimately determine their living standards
and financial stability. Therefore, students should prioritize their studies and strive for academic
excellence, which requires a substantial amount of time and effort. However, success is not solely
defined by academic achievements. Essential skills such as communication, leadership, and
independence are also critical for almost all careers, and these cannot be gained through studying alone.

On the other hand, I firmly believe that students should engage in other activities in addition to studying.
In today’s world, an excessive focus on academic success has become a widespread issue, leading to
immense pressure and anxiety for students and their parents. This, in turn, has contributed to higher
rates of depression and stress among young people. To mitigate these issues, students should participate
in extracurricular activities such as sports, volunteering, or clubs. These activities not only help them
relax and recharge but also expand their social networks and foster personal development, which are
crucial for a well-rounded individual.

In conclusion, while studying is an essential responsibility for university students, I believe they should
also participate in other activities to achieve comprehensive development and maintain their mental
well-being.
