FALSE POSITIVE AND FALSE NEGATIVE. A false positive refers to incorrectly identifying fully human-written text
as AI-generated, while false negative means something that is there was not detected; something was missed.
LIMITED DATA BASE COVERAGE. Plagiarism checkers primarily rely on comparing text against a database of
online sources. They may not have access to all your previously published work, particularly if it's not publicly
available online.
DIFFICULTY IN DETECTING SELF PLAGIARISM. The difficulty arises because self-plagiarism often involves
paraphrasing or rearranging your own previous work, making it difficult for algorithms to recognize the
original source.
INTERPRETATION AND CONTEXT. A checker might flag a phrase as plagiarized because it's identical to another
source. But it can't tell if the phrase is being used in the same context or if the author is simply borrowing a
common idea.
EVOLVING TECHNIQUES OF PLAGIARISM. As technology advances and plagiarists find new ways to
cheat, plagiarism detection tools must adapt to stay ahead of the curve.
