1 DETENTION FADE IN: INT. CLASSROOM DAY TIME Teacher 1 Mr Assegai Student 1 Jon, 17 Student 2 Arran, 17 Student 3 Natalya, 17

Two students are at either end of a regular classroom while a teacher stands at the front of the room and lectures them about their behaviour. TEACHER 1 (angry) I will not tolerate this behavior any longer. You know that it is against the school rules to fight. Sound of Teacher 1s dialogue becomes muffled, ticking of the clock becomes louder and more prominent. Both students are bored, Charlie doodles on a piece of paper while Freddie taps on the table. TEACHER 1 (continues) I am disappointed in both of you. There is no need for you to be fighting anyone. Sound is back to normal as Teacher 1 begins to walk to the door.

2 TEACHER 1 (continues) I am quickly going to the staff room. I will be back in five minutes. Each and every one of you should be sitting silently when I return. Teacher 1 leaves the room. A piece of balled up paper is thrown, hitting Freddie in the back of the head. Outraged, Freddie snaps his head around to glare at Arran. As Freddie snaps his head around, music reminiscent of a Western film begins. They walk to the front of the class and stop at the front, to face each other. They look as though they are about to have a show down. They both draw for their guns, but Freddie is quicker and shoots Charlie. Charlie feigns death (very over-dramatically). Charlie rises from the floor and pulls out his light saber. They then have a fight, much like the Star Wars films. To get away from his opponent, Freddie flees the classroom, Charlie following suit.

CUT TO: INT. STAFFROOM Teacher 1 is in the staffroom, which is completely opposite to what is happening in the classroom. It is nearly silent as Teacher 1 makes a cup of tea.(AROUND 6 SECONDS) CUT TO: INT. HALLWAY

Freddie in is the hallway, hiding behind some lockers. He pokes his head out from behind to see Charlie walking down the hall towards him. Charlie carefully walks down the hall, stopping in the middle. As the camera focuses

3 on him, we see Freddie doing a Mission Impossible style forward-roll across the hall in the distance behind him. As soon as Freddie disappears from shot, Charlie turns around. Both boys run down parallel corridors before meeting facing each other in a stand-off. Charlie reaches down as though he is reaching into a holster and brandishes a gun and shoots at Freddie. Freddie does the Matrix lean. However he gets around halfway before falling to ground. His glasses fly from his face. He feels around on the floor for them, but his hand comes into contact with a shoe. Pan up along a young girls body. the first time. When we reach her blowing in the wind. She picks up places them on his face, stroking cheek lovingly. We see Charlotte for face, her hair is Freddies glasses and her hand down his

Char walks over to Charlie, who has faced away from the pair. She taps him on the shoulder. Once he has turned around, she slaps him hard on the cheek, knocking him to the ground. He hits the ground CUT TO: INT. STAFFROOM The teacher leaves the staffroom. Can hear the footsteps going back to the classroom CUT TO: INT. HALLWAY All three students look at each other in alarm. Char kisses Freddie on the cheek before she runs away. The two boys run in the opposite way back to the classroom. They burst back into the room, straightening their clothes and returning to their opening positions. The teacher re-enters and checks her watch.

4 TEACHER 1 (continues) Okay boys, your time is up. Youre free to leave. I dont expect to see either of you in here any time soon. Do you understand? The boys both get up, leaving the room. They grin at each other and slyly fist bump as they leave the room. FADE OUT.
