I. SITUATION OVERVIEW
The Locality of Basud is experiencing light to moderate rainshowers due to the effect of
shear line and Northeast Monsoon .
A. Daily Weather Forecast

Easterlies affecting Visayas and Mindanao. Northeast Monsoon affecting Luzon.
Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, and
Quezon will experience Cloudy skies with rains due to Northeast Monsoon. Possible
flash floods or landslides are expected due to moderate to heavy rains.

On Tuesday (14 January), Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Central Luzon,
Marinduque, and Oriental Mindoro will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and
isolated thunderstorms due to shear line. Due to the northeast monsoon, Cagayan Valley
and Cordillera Administrative Region(CAR) will be cloudy with light rains while partly
cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will prevail over ilocos region. The rest
of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies apart from isolated
rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Today - Moderate to Heavy (50-100mm). Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines
Sur, Albay and Sorsogon. Localized flooding is possible mainly in areas that are
urbanized, low lying or near river. Landslide possible in highly susceptible areas.

Moderate to heavy rains affecting CamarinesSur, Albay, Sorsogon, Catanduanes
and NorthernSamar which may persist within 2 to 3 hours and may affect nearby areas.
II. ACTION TAKEN
The MDRRMO Basud is continuously monitoring the flood prone and landslide prone
barangays thru social media (group chat messenger, facebook) and radio communication.
BDRRMC’s are constantly reporting updates to the Operations Center regarding the
status of their AORs.
SUSPENSION OF CLASSES in all levels within the locality is hereby LIFTED
effective today (January 14, 2025).

F. Status of Lifelines and Critical Facilities
Low pressure to No water situation is being
experienced in the locality and nearby
municipalities due to intermittent heavy rainfall.
The Dagotdotan Filtration Facility (DFF) has
stopped its operations due to the high water
turbidity level reaching 67.5 Nephelometric
Turbidity Units (NTU) caused by the heavy
rainfall. The Technical Team is focused on
WATER
monitoring the Mampurog River and the water
facilities to quickly resume the DFF operations
once the water turbidity drops to the permissible
limit of 10 NTU. To address the water needs of
the affected consumers, water delivery is being
carried out to the barangays affected by the water
supply disruption through the Hatid Tubig sa
Barangay (HTB) program.
