INTRODUCTION

Have you ever wondered how a business's success is evaluated in today's fast-
paced, interconnected world? Instead of focusing solely on financial performance,
customers and stakeholders are progressively considering how businesses
impact the environment and society. CSR, or corporate social responsibility, has
become a crucial component in this assessment. The concept of corporate social
responsibility, or CSR, emphasizes that businesses have a commitment to the
society in which they work (Stobierski). As a result, businesses that intend to
assess success in ways other than financial performance may implement
corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives that focus on 4 types: fiscal,
ethical, charitable, and environmental responsibility that go beyond what they sell
(Fernando). Applications of CSR practices include, for instance, sustainable
manufacturing, equal wages, social justice advocacy, innovative products for
environmental or social problems, carbon footprint reduction as well as giving a
substantial amount of income to charitable causes (Strauss). Considering the
various companies globally that successfully incorporate CSR into their
operations, one of the organizations that shows an outstanding dedication to CSR
is Unilever. Company Unilever demonstrates corporate social responsibility well
by integrating sustainability as a core management principle, engaging in
philanthropic initiatives, and making a positive impact on social well-being.
