Abstract
This research paper analyzes on how will the grade 11 STEM students mastered
an Fx-350Ms scientific calculator. The first scientific calculator was created by Hewlett-
Packard on February 1, 1972. This electronic device, available in desktop or handheld
forms, performs both basic and complex calculations, replacing slide rules and
mathematical tables. It is used in educational and professional environments and allows
users to switch between degrees, radians, and grads. Additionally, it includes
mathematical constants such as Pi and Euler’s constant, and supports exponents,
logarithms, and scientific notation, making it ideal for engineering problem-solving. It
objectifies a descriptive literature review targeting the effectiveness of mastering an fx-
350ms Scientific Calculator on grade 11 students. To answer the how to master an Fx-
350ms Scientific Calculator the researcher uses a survey questionnaire with 16 questions
to answer and observe the results if it is effective to master an fx-350ms scientific
calculator. The study discovers that most of the Grade 11 STEM students got 60% upon
knowing the scientific calculator and how to operate its unfamiliar keys, for operating the
scientific calculator most of them got 33% which means by neutrally difficult to operate a
scientific calculator, for the challenges they encountered most of them got 38% because
of an insufficient time that allows them to submit the paper not on time. Research
concludes that mastering an fx-350ms does save you time, helps you submit your papers
quickly, and won’t be disturbing others.
