ENGLISH ASSIGNMENT-1(READING & LITERATURE)
TOPIC: UNSEEN PASSAGE & UNSEEN POEM
Name: _______________ Roll No. ________________
Q1. Read the passage carefully.
The majestic Himalayas stood tall, their snow-capped peaks glistening in the morning sun. The air
was crisp and clean, filled with the sweet scent of pine trees. A gentle stream flowed through the
valley, its crystal-clear waters reflecting the vibrant colors of the surrounding flowers.
As I trekked through the forest, I noticed the diverse wildlife. A brightly colored bird flitted
between trees, its song echoing through the valley. A deer grazed peacefully, its large brown eyes
watchful. The forest floor was carpeted with leaves, and wildflowers bloomed, adding splashes of
color.
Suddenly, dark clouds gathered, and thunder rumbled. The wind picked up, rustling leaves and
snapping branches. The deer fled, and the bird took shelter. The stream swelled, its waters churning
and foaming. The Himalayas, once serene, now seemed formidable.
The storm passed, leaving behind a tranquil atmosphere. The sun broke through the clouds, casting
a warm glow. The forest, once again, was peaceful. The deer returned, and the bird resumed its song.
The stream flowed gently, its waters crystal-clear.
I realized that nature's beauty lies in its unpredictability. The Himalayas, though majestic, were also
