Lorry: our first spot is The Nuestra Señora La Virgen del Pilar de
Zamboanga, fondly known as Fort Pilar, stands as the crowning jewel of
Zamboanga City's historical heritage. Erected in 1635, the fort played a crucial role
as a bastion, providing protection against invading marauders during tumultuous
times. Fort Pilar, the shrine of Our Lady of the Pillar, was built in the 17th century
for the protection of Christian settlers against Moro (local Muslim) pirates; it now
houses a branch of the national [Link], you can pray, light candles, attend
masses and you can even feed the pigeons.
Princess: Near the fort pilar is the Museum of Zamboanga city, The museum
has exhibits on marine life, 18th century relics, and contemporary art ,The museum
also houses artifacts that showcase the region's culture and heritage.
Lorry: Next is the Zamboanga City Hall, situated on NS Valderrosa Street, serves
as the government seat of Zamboanga City. Built between 1905-1907, this historic
landmark showcases neoclassical architecture influenced by American colonial
styles. After suffering damage during World War II, the building was rebuilt in 1946
and restored in the 1980s. Declared a National Historical Landmark in 2008, it
houses the City Mayor's office, City Council chambers and various government
departments.
Infront of the Zamboanga city hall is Dr. jose rizal’s monument
Clein: Now, plaza persing is our next destination, Plaza Pershing was named after
the US Officer named Gen. Pershing. Some of the City's events, activities usually
held here. named after General John Joseph "Black Jack" Pershing to honor his
victory over Muslim insurgents, this plaza is situated just across the zamboanga city
hall.

waterfront promenade, a popular recreational area symbolizing urban renewal and
offering stunning coastal views
Clein: Zamboanga City's boulevard is a scenic waterfront promenade, a vital
recreational space and iconic symbol of the city's coastal character.
Princess: Then here we are, Exploring to.. Zamboanga City's Metropolitan
Cathedral of Immaculate Conception, founded in 1635, stands as a historic
symbol of faith, blending architectural styles and reflecting the city's enduring spirit.

Zamboanga City's Rainbow Mosque (Masjid Al-Islamia) is a vibrant landmark,
its rainbow colors symbolizing peace and showcasing the city's multicultural
heritage.

Lorry: Next is the Pasonanca park, Construction began in 1912. Thomas Hanley, a
parksman from the United States, was responsible for the park's original layout. The
park was completed during the administration of Frank W. Carpenter, the Governor
of the Department of Mindanao and Sulu. Inside the pasonanca park, there is a
butterfly garden,tree house and many more, this park is a popular spot for camping
and scout jamborees.
Lorry: Following is the Zamboanga City's Abong-Abong Park is a historic,
community green space, offering a tranquil refuge and reflecting the city's heritage.
Every holy week,many people are visiting here because its our culture.
Clein: Merloquet Falls is one of the frequently visited waterfalls here in Mindanao.
It lives to its name as the magical water curtain of the island. It's a paradise for
those who seek nature's humbling caress. It's as if heaven pinned its grandest white
curtain on the walls of the mountains of Zamboanga City.
Clein: Lastly Is the Zamboanga City's Great Santa Cruz Island, it has been
popular for decades because it is only one of the handful pink beaches in the world.
Its pinkish sand is caused by the pulverized rare red Organ-pipe coral (Tubipora
musica) due to surf erosion.
