REFLECTION

INSET is defined as a combo of tasks and processes in which teachers

participate to increase their knowledge, improve their teaching skills, and become more
effective in their day-to-day duties. Teachers ought to take part in ongoing professional
development to stay up to date on the newest advancements and innovations in the
teaching profession and to enhance themselves.

During my Day 1 training, the presenter discussed the Multi-Year IPCRF and
21st-century strategies in teaching Science. IPCRF is an evaluation instrument to rank
teachers based on their yearly accomplishments. Being observed during a class
demonstration is a big aid as an educator to make improvements in my teaching methods
and strategies. I should make sure that every piece of information that I feed to my
learners' minds is relevant. It is also important to adopt the latest strategies of teaching.
Using of technology helps me with convenience. Learners are attentive especially when
they like colorful drawings and animations displayed on the TV screen. 21st-century
strategies in teaching Science are also a highlight of this training. It opens new ideas on
how to conduct classes effectively with the help of technology. Technology plays an
important role in learning nowadays since most of the learners are tech-savvy and very
early on exposed to social networking and the internet.
As teachers, we have to keep up. Using gadgets and types of equipment
makes learning more livable and easier to access.

Day 2 of our training was about constructing test questions in all subject
areas. The test is an assessment instrument to record your cognitive characteristics. It
depends on the length and level of difficulty. As a teacher, I should do additional research
on what kinds of tests I’m going to give my learners. Designing, constructing, and
planning it well will diminish or to no mistakes. Create tests that are suited for my
learners. I must be careful when choosing the words. Doing reviews to make sure they
studied and remembered the previous lessons we discussed. Give enough pointers so they
will focus on those important parts of the discussion. I must review my test questions
before presenting them to the class. Always follow S.M.A.R.T, be Specific, Measurable,
Attainable, Realistic, and within the Time-bound. All these refresher topics and new plans
opened my eyes to new opportunities in my teaching journey. Being able to perform it for
the nation’s future which is the young learners, it is a big accomplishment for me to see
them learning. I will feed them with the latest knowledge with the aid of technology,
knowing the fact that learning never stops.

Day 3 of our training in the morning about “ Ang Pagsusulit sa Pagtuturo

at Pagkatuto ng mga Mag-aaral”. The speaker discussed different test constructions and
how important part to assess learners' understanding of course content and their level of
competency in applying what they are learning. A kind of test helps teachers know
whether or not you are getting the information that is being taught to you. They help us
know if we are doing the work correctly or not. It shines a light on what we know well
and on the areas we need to improve so that we can keep on moving forward. And testing
helps learners better organize their knowledge. Learners are more likely to pay attention
to important points and categorize it into effective ones.
In the afternoon, we listened via Microsoft 365 about “Catch-up Friday”, where
the Department of Education oriented a dedicated time for learners to catch up on lessons
and enhance their reading and critical thinking skills. Catch-up Fridays is under the
National Learning Recovery Program (NLRP). It is an initiative to provide learners with
the opportunity to engage in independent reading of their preferred materials. And Catch-
up Fridays that learners have the standard, stage, or level that they have reached. And this
program, allotted one day of the week as a time to help our learners with their reading
skills. Surely this isn’t enough, but it is something better than just promoting pupils to the
next grade level.

In a day 4, about teaching in Araling Panlipunan, were one of the teacher

demonstrated of this subject, and one of our Deps observed together with other process
observers and Master Teacher’s. The teacher demonstrated her best to achieve her lesson
well, and she manipulate more in ICT and tricks during activities until the teacher
finished her lessons. After that, have a TA to our Deps in Araling Panlipunan and the
process observer. It followed the Deps in EPP/TLE, he discussed about the areas where it
shorten and others. In afternoon, Deps in MAPEH, he explained how important it is. It
helps learners to easily discover and learned things about what they can get if they will
enhance their potentials in different [Link] very least, music and arts provide an
outlet for relaxation. Physical education teaches the importance of keeping the body
active and moving.

In day 5, have the strategies in English and Mathematics. Reading, writing and
vocabulary exercises are essential building blocks for developing language fluency, but it
is only part of what is needed. Learners who appear fully fluent in English may
nonetheless struggle to express themselves effectively in academic settings, as they lack
the words and phrases needed to connect their ideas and discuss them with others. The
same with mathematics, all learners need to master the four operation from the basic up to
hard. The Education is imparted for achieving certain ends and goals; the skills like
speed, accuracy, estimation, logical thinking and problem solving. One of the tool to
achieve learners the result of ERUNT, as teacher know what are the good needs of your
learners the specific needed to reach the goal at the end of school year.
