a safe, friendly non-threatening and caring environment. Effective classroom routines ensure order and
discipline to help the students to stay calm and focused on their daily tasks.

 Identify the classroom routines set by the teacher; and

REVISIT the Learning Essentials

Routines are the backbone of daily classroom life. They facilitate teaching and learning Routines don’t
just make the life of the teacher easier. They save valuable classroom time. Efficient routines make it easier for
students to learn and achieve more.

Establishing routines early in the school year:


 Enables you to run your daily activities run smoothly.
 Ensures you to manage time effectively.
 Helps you maintain order in the classroom.
 Makes you more focused on teaching because you spend less time in giving
directions/instruction; and
 Enables you to explain to the learners what are expected of them.

Analyze the routines set by the Resource Teacher by answering the following questions.
1. Were the routines effectives in ensuring discipline and order in the class? Why? Why not?
The effectiveness of classroom routines in ensuring discipline and order depends on several
factors, including the specific routines implemented, the teacher’s consistency and clarity in enforcing
them, the age and developmental level of the students, and the overall classroom culture. Classroom
routines can be effective is it has predictability and structure it allows them to anticipate what expected
of them, making it easier to follow directions and participate appropriately. Well-defined routines
establish clear expectations for student’s behavior and actions in various classroom situations. Efficient
routines optimize the use of time, allowing for more focused learning and less wasted of time transition
and disruptions. This creates a smoother and more productive learning environment. Routines
encourage the student independence and responsibility by empowering them to take ownership of their
actions and learnings. This promotes self-discipline. Also having Positive Classroom Culture. When
implemented effectively, routines contribute to a positive classroom culture characterized by respect,
collaboration, and a shared understanding of expectations._______________
2. Which of those routines were systematic and consistently implemented? Explain your answer?
The routines that are systematic and has consistency that are implemented are Movement into
the classroom, Transition in classroom activities, working with pair/group, submission/collection of
materials, asking questions during lessons, asking for assistance and etc. These routines are being
executed by the teacher and the students.

REFLECT
Reflect on the various routines observed.
1. Which of the routines will you most likely apply in your class? Why? Why not
I think the routines that I will apply when I become a teacher are Movement into the classroom,
Transition in classroom activities, working with pair/group, submission/collection of materials, asking
questions during lessons, asking for assistance and fire drill/emergencies. These routines has positive
impact to the students that will help them in their learning process and understand every lesson that
being teach.

These rules were created beacause of many problmes that has encountered before and it has led
to formulation of the rules to avoid it repeatedly. Also in order to have progress in school and to have
control over students there must be a rule to be follow.

2. Are classroom rules really important?


Yes. Classroom rules are absolutely important for a positive and productive learning
environment. They serve as the foundation for a well-structured classroom, providing a framework for
student behavior and creating safe and respectful space for learning. Here’s why the classroom rules are
so important. Classroom rules clearly defined what is expected of students in terms of behavior,
participation, and interaction and making it easier for students to understand what is acceptable and
what is not. Rules ensure consistency in how students are treated and how their behavior is addressed.
This will have a sense of fairness and equity, having a positive classroom culture where everyone feels
respected and valued. Rules establish boundaries that protect students from harm or disruption,
allowing for the greater focus on learning. Rules encourage the students to develop self-discipline and
responsibility. By understanding and following the rules, students learn to make choices that contribute
to a positive learning environment.________________
