Homes of this type are the most popular constructions in urban areas of our country and this trend continues today.
On the other hand, if you are in charge of a work of this type, you must take into account three factors:
a. Structural design.
b. Control of construction processes.
c. Quality control of materials.
An earthquake will cause damage to a home if it lacks structural design or was poorly built. The house may even collapse, causing
significant material losses, serious injuries to its occupants and even the death of some of them.

In this case, the bricks used are machined, since they have a
structural design that facilitates the insertion of the tensioners and thus
guarantees great flexibility to the different structures that are made using
this type of masonry.

Flat surface, whether horizontal or inclined, that, in addition to having concrete in its composition, requires reinforcing steel to give
elasticity to its structure. Reinforcement is usually done with steel rods whose diameter, distribution and measurements respond to the
structural calculation.
ADVANTAGES.
> The portal frame system has the advantage of allowing any
modifications that may be made to the interior of the house, since
the walls, not supporting weight, have the possibility of changing.
> Relatively simple construction process and one with a lot of
experience.
> The portico system has the versatility that is achieved in spaces
and that implies the use of brick.
CONCLUSIONS
• A structural system is a configuration of elements within the structure that, individually, can support a
certain type of load, and together guarantee the strength and behavior desired in the structure.
• The essence of the confined system is to first build a wall of bricks or blocks.
• In the portico system, the structure is first raised and then the spaces are closed with bricks.
