Task
This assignment is divided in two parts: one individual and a group task to be completed in teams of 3 to 4 people. Each team’s member is expected to hand in a
document (word or pdf) in which the following will be addressed:

PART 1 (50%): INDIVIDUAL

An analysis of your “Country Profile”* as per the “Country Comparison Tool” based on Hofstede’s theory ([Link]
comparison-tool). Do not copy and paste the information from the website, you must describe how you perceive yourself on each of the 6 dimensions
compared to the score of your country using personal examples. You also need to indicate the score your country score on each dimension. This will
make up for no more than 750 words per person.

*If your country’s profile is not available on the website, please use a country you have lived in or a country you know well and identify with.

PART 2 (50%): IN TEAM of 3 to 4 people

Compare your team member’s country profile in the tool, screenshot the bar graph and include it at the end of your document.

Using a cross-cultural perspective (underlying the differences and similarities), describe 4 of the 6 dimensions (your choice) and identify potential
tension areas. Make sure to provide examples to illustrate your point.

Finally, explain how you would “bridge” those differences to ensure smooth and effective work with your teammates. You can refer to the document
“Hofstede at Work” to do so. You will find it on Moodle, week 3.

Formalities:

• Wordcount: part1, 750 words per person, part 2, 1500 MAX. TOTAL WORD COUNT 2250 +/- 10%
• Cover, Table of Contents, References and Appendix are excluded of the total wordcount.
• Font: Arial 12,5 pts.
• Text alignment: Justified.
• The in-text References and the Bibliography must be in Harvard’s citation style.
• The use of AI is not permitted and will result in significant points deduction or failure.
