Release of Funds to Regions and Weredas

So far the MOFED has transferred the total amount of ETB 17,668,593.80 for 1997 EFY for all
regions. Likewise MOFED has transferred the total amount of ETB 8,738,924.84 for the 1998
EFY budget year in April 2006, to BOFEDs account for all regions except Gambella & Somali
regions. for the 1999 EFY, MOFED has transferred the total amount of ETB 19,072,845.99 to
BOFEDs account for all regions except Gambella & Somali regions. Moreover, MOFED has
transferred the total amount of ETB 1,943,512.50 for Benishangul-Gumuz region as a 2000 EFY
budget. In addition to this, except Gambella region RRA the rest seven regions received
13,601,518.00 for 2000 EFY. Somali region has received the 2000 EFY after submitting action
plan for this year and physical report for the 1997 EFY. Regarding the year 2001 EFY MoFED
has realeased a sum of 1,943,074.00 to Benishangul-Gumuz RRA. For Gambella region the
amount sent for 1997 EFY is not yet completely used for various reasons and report on physical
and fiscal accomplishment is not sent to ERA from this region.
