Introduction
The main objective of this essay is to evaluate and discuss the skills and learning that are gained
or achieved by doing an MBA. In an MBA student learns many chapters in capstone subject,
capstone consists of many chapters which teach many important lessons to the student that is
beneficial for them and provides them a lot of informative knowledge that is important to them.
In this study, some skills are also discussed that are important for the student. Communication
skills, leadership skills, decision-making skills, and strategic thinking are some important skills
that MBA student learns during their MBA course. These skills play an important role in the
career of MBA students. MBA students must have these fundamental skills. These skills help
them to work for a company. Capstone subject gave lots of theatrical knowledge about many
things and with the help of workshop and students get an opportunity to apply all their theoretical
knowledge in the workplace.
A brief discussion on the value of reflective practice for managers and leaders
The reflective practice helps the leader and the managers to find or figure out their leadership
capabilities. I'm also always performing reflective practice as it also helps me a lot in finding or
increasing my abilities. Another thing that reflective practice helps me a lot is that it enhances
my leadership quality and helps in solving the existing problems or issues. As per Horton-
Deutsch and Sherwood (2017, p. 344), the Reflecting concept simply reflects the thinking of the
leaders or the managers. In other words, it is related to the concept of learning from experience.
Reflective practice helps me a lot to develop leadership qualities; it helps in developing my
skills. Reflective practice is one of the best methods to learn from the mistakes, and not repeat
those mistakes in the next task. Hence in this way, it helps to improve the skills. Reflective skills
help to understand the behavior, skills, and knowledge of an individual. This is a great way for
the lasers and the managers to apply all their learning and experience in the field. Whatever is
studied in the MBA course, reflective practice allows us to perform all the learning in the real
work field. It is also very helpful for the leader and the managers in solving the current issues. I
play a great role in the development of attitude and behavior. Reflective practice helps in become
a good leader by applying the knowledge that I learned during the course.

It teaches many leadership things by applying all the learning in the real workplace. It reflects
my ability and practical knowledge and helps me to analyze in which part I'm doing great and in
which sector I have to improve myself. It increases the leadership qualities of an individual and
makes a better and good leader for the business world. Reflective practice allows the teams or
groups to use their total understanding and with the help of their learning and knowledge design
procedures and thoughts (Bhaduri 2019, p. 545). It is also beneficial in reducing conflict, and
gaps in knowledge reflective practice enhance the skills and increases leadership and
management qualities as well as support the development of the organization. Reflective practice
helps me a lot in accelerating my leadership and management skills and because of that, I gain
confidence in my work and also help in making a positive attitude. I clearly say that this is one of
the best methods to erase your mistakes or learn from your mistakes to become more productive
and efficient. It helps to remove future work errors and guide and suggest the best way to always
be productive.
A personal reflection on learnings from the capstone subject and consultancy research
process.
MBA courses offered several capstone subjects that are very much helpful in my learning
process. It helps me to understand the advanced and detailed knowledge of different types of
business as well as helps in getting knowledge about different organizational aspects. People,
culture, and contemporary leadership is the first subject that was discussed in the Capstone
subject. The first subject of the capstone has mainly discussed the concept of managing human
resources. Capstone subject helps me a lot in understanding the deep concept of human resource
management and increases my knowledge and efficiency. Human resource management is very
essential to face problems or issues in real life. As per Hermundsdottir and Aspelund (2021, p.
4), the second subject of the Capstone is governance, ethics, and sustainability, it discusses the
various roles of the management board and it also discusses the chances of risk that is associated
with the strategy. This subject improves my knowledge of the core concepts of governance and it
also increases my knowledge about sustainable strategies. Financial and economic interpretation
and communication is the third important subject of the capstone subject.

The third subject helps me to analyze the business analytical tools and it also increases my
communication skills. This skill helps me a lot to share information with my partners and
company board members. Another great subject that increased my knowledge is a dynamic
strategy and disruptive innovation which is a very great and important subject for me. It helps a
lot to develop my corporate strategies. By learning and understanding this subject I was able to
create value through innovation (Shostak et al. 2019, p. 201). This subject makes me able to
apply dynamic ability to ensure the development of the company. The next subject that I learned
is very tricky because it deals with the behaviors of the customers and also deals with marketing
psychology. This subject tells the effect of the strategy on the consumers purchasing behavior. It
deals with the effect of the strategy and how this strategy affected the market share of the
organization. Last but not least, the final subject is emotional intelligence, cultural intelligence,
and diversity. This subject teaches how to manage cultural differences in the workplace and
create a healthy environment. After learning all the capstone subjects I was able to work in a
diverse workplace without any kind of problem. I gained a lot of theoretical knowledge in the
capstone subject and after some time I also gained practical experience of my learning in
workshops that were conducted by our teacher during the MBA course.
A personal reflection on skills developed over the MBA.
During the MBA course, I learned a lot of things and from that, I gained some skills which are
very important for my career. There are many skills that I learned however from what skills I
deeply understand and learned some skills:
1. Communication skills: communication skills are a very important skill for all MBA students,
and I learn that skill very seriously. I do practice a lot of these skills and always try to improve
my communication skills. During The time of MBA, I learned how important it is to have better
communication skills. That's why I put in lots of effort to improve my communication skills.
2. Strategic thinking: at the time of the MBA course I put a lot of effort to make myself better at
making a good strategy. I tried my best to learn strategic skills as it is very helpful for my career.
Strategic skills are one of the skills that a manager must have and it also helps to get a good high
salary job. Strategic thinking means analyzing all the data and making a suitable plan to counter
the problem and make an effective plan that will help to overcome the bad situation.

3. Leadership skills: it is one of the most fundamental and necessary skills for all MBA students.
An MBA student must have leadership qualities, that's why I learn a lot of things about
leadership and make myself better at leadership. Now I have good leadership skills, and because
of that, I felt very confident. I developed leadership skills because I know how important this
skill is for an MBA graduate and it will be a very essential skill for my career as well. Leadership
skill helps to lead the company or group of members, this is one of the mandatory skills for
MBA students.
4. Decision-making: another skill that I developed over my MBA is decision-making. Decision-
making plays a key role and has perfected this skill is not easy. I took a lot of time in making
myself better in decision-making. After analyzing all the issues and findings, a decision is made
based on facts and conclusions hence it is not an easy thing for me to make myself better in
decision making. Decision-making is essential for my better career, it will help me a lot in the
future when I am working for an organization. A lot of research is required in making a good and
successful decision.

The above skills that I mentioned are very helpful for me in my career. Communication skills are
very effective for me when I'm working for an organization. Communication is one of the
strongest tools, it helps the manager to communicate with their employees and also
communication plays an important role to develop a healthy relationship with the employees.
There is a lot of importance of communication skills, another importance is that it is very
effective in problem-solving. Communication skill develops a good working environment by
talking with the managers so employees feel more confident hence communication is a very
important skill and it is going to help me in my future. Another skill that is going to help in my
future is a leadership skill. A leadership skill helps me to supervise the work of the employees
and also helps to manage the task of the organization. In future career endeavors, this skill will
provide me the strength to face challenges and manage employees and guide them in every
difficult situation. Leadership skills will boost my confidence and provide me with enough
strength to deal with the challenges.

Leadership skill is a very rare skill and everyone cannot have a good one, so it brings an
advantage for me to show my leadership talents and helps me grab promotion opportunities.
Leadership skills will open many gates for me to uplift my work and position. Strategic thinking
is going to help me in my future and helps me to get promoted. Strategic thinking will help me to
develop a beautiful workplace for all the employees of the company. In the office whenever I get
a difficult task, strategic thinking brings many ways to solve that problem and it automatically
enhances my performance. Strategic thinking helps me to develop the best strategic plan for the
organization. An MBS graduate must know strategic thinking. It helps in problem-solving and is
also very effective in tough times. Strategic thinking opens many ways to solve the current issue;
it is the skill that every company wants in their employees. Hence it will help to boost my career
and it will provide many opportunities for promotion. I also learned decision-making, which is
also an effective and necessary skill that organizations want in their employees so it will increase
my chances of selection for a higher position.
Conclusions
This essay is about the MBA course and its important skills, the MBA graduate learned many
things during their entire MBA course. In the capstone subject, a student learned many new
topics which are important for them to learn some new skills. All MBA students must need to
master some skills so that they can get a higher or better package. These skills help the MBA
student in getting jobs. Communication skills, strategic thinking, and decision-making are some
of the important skills that are essential for an MBA student. These skills provide them with a
good job with a good salary. Without having any skills a student is not able to get a job. Skill
helps the MBA graduate in their coming future, without any skill a student is useless hence it is
essential for them to at least learn some skills so that they can get a job. These skills play a great
role in their career.
