FINAL PROJECT

RESEARCH PAPER

1. Two Variables:

"Mental Health"-My report

"Sex Education"-report of Ma’am Richyl Nuez

. 2. Three Proposed Research Titles:

Title 1: The Impact of Sex Education on Adolescent Mental Health.

Title 2: The Correlation between Comprehensive Sex Education and Reduced

Anxiety/Depression in Young Adults.

Title 3: The Role of Stigma Surrounding Sex and Sexuality in Mental Health Outcomes.

3. Statement of the Problem for Each Research Title:

Title 1: The Impact of Sex Education on Adolescent Mental Health:

This research aims to investigate the relationship between the type and quality of sex
education received by adolescents and their mental health outcomes, such as anxiety,
depression, and self-esteem. The problem is that there's a lack of understanding about
how different sex education approaches affect adolescent mental well-being. This study
will explore whether comprehensive sex education leads to better mental health
outcomes compared to abstinence-only education or no sex education at all.

Title 2: The Correlation between Comprehensive Sex Education and Reduced

Anxiety/Depression in Young Adults:

This study seeks to determine if a correlation exists between receiving comprehensive

sex education and lower rates of anxiety and depression among young adults. The
problem is the potential for misinformation and lack of open communication around sex
to negatively impact mental health. This research will examine whether comprehensive
sex education empowers young adults to make informed decisions, leading to improved
mental well-being.

Title 3: The Role of Stigma Surrounding Sex and Sexuality in Mental Health Outcomes:
This research will explore how societal stigma and negative attitudes towards sex and
sexuality contribute to mental health challenges. The problem is that societal stigma
can create barriers to seeking help and open communication, exacerbating mental
health issues for individuals struggling with their sexuality or sexual experiences. This
study will investigate the link between stigma, sexual health, and mental health
outcomes.
