My Hobbies
Hi! I’m called Georgia and I live in England, in a town called Bishop’s Stortford. It is a nice town with lots of things to do and I have many friends here.

I have lots of hobbies but my absolute favourite is swimming, I swim six days a week and am in my school swimming team. I always swim in a indoor
swimming pool, which is fun, and warm, but I wouldn’t like swimming in an outdoor pool though. I really don’t like being cold, so I know I would hate
outdoor swimming!

I love swimming for my school because I get to be in lots of competitions, but I have to practise five days a week, which is tiring. I have to get up at 6.00 am
every morning to get to the pool for 6.30 am, my mum always drives me there – it is dark and cold at that time in the winter. When it’s cold, after swimming,
I go home and have something like hot porridge for breakfast before starting school at 8.20 am.

My second favourite hobby is gaming, I love playing computer games. I enjoy playing Minecraft as you get to build things - I think it is a little like Lego, which
I also enjoy building – I probably spend about 20 minutes per day playing Minecraft – but my mum always makes me do my homework before she lets me
play ……………….. I hate doing homework 

I have a brother, he’s called David and he is two years’ younger than me – did I say, I am 13 years’ old – anyway, David loves playing football, I think he would
play football all day if he were allowed. He plays with his friends from school mostly, they all love playing football! He is in a team too, but his team practises
on a Saturday morning at 9.00 am so my parents have to get up early six days a week! The love staying in bed on a Sunday morning!

My mum and dad also have hobbies, my parents enjoy playing golf, I think it must be boring just walking around a field chasing a little white ball; however,
they say that, except for taking me to the pool at 6.30 every morning, playing golf is their next favourite thing to do …………….

When I am not swimming, and have some free time, I like visiting my friends or the play park – it’s not really a ‘hobby’ though is it, playing in the park?

We all go to bed early in our house, mainly because we have to get up super early for swimming before school. Bedtime is when I enjoy my other favourite
things – reading a bedtime story and cuddling my favourite toy. At the moment, I am reading Harry Potter, the first book, I am enjoying reading Harry Potter,
but I don’t understand all the words because some of them are made up, but I love reading it anyway! I hate reading about real life things, I prefer reading
about magic! As for my cuddly toy, I have had it for about four years, my grandma and grandpa gave him to me for my 9th birthday, it is very soft and fluffy, I
love it because it makes me feel comfortable when I’m going to sleep. He has a name of course, I bet you can guess what that name is?
