Board Vision Activity: "My Values, My Vision for Life"

Purpose of the Activity

To help students reflect on their personal values and create a clear vision for their personal life
that aligns with these values. This exercise encourages self-awareness and goal-setting while
providing a creative outlet for expression.

Instructions for Students

1. Create a Vision Board:


o Use visuals (photos, drawings, magazine cutouts, or digital images) and text to
represent your personal life goals and the values guiding them.
o Divide the board into these sections to cover a holistic view of your life:
 Family and Relationships: What values will you uphold in your
interactions with loved ones? (e.g., love, trust, loyalty)
 Personal Growth: How will you develop yourself mentally, emotionally,
and spiritually? (e.g., resilience, continuous learning, faith)
 Health and Well-being: What does living a balanced and healthy life
look like for you? (e.g., discipline, self-care, gratitude)
 Career or Purpose: How do your values shape your ambitions and
dreams? (e.g., integrity, compassion, perseverance)
2. Add Personal Touches:
o Include inspiring quotes, affirmations, or Bible verses that resonate with your
values.
o Highlight milestones you want to achieve and how your values will help you
reach them.
3. Write a Reflection:
o Introduction: Define your core values and why they are important to you.
o Vision Statement: Describe your ideal personal life and how your values align
with this vision.
o Action Plan: Identify steps you will take to uphold these values daily.
o Challenges and Solutions: Reflect on any potential obstacles and how you’ll
overcome them while staying true to your values.
4. Submission Format:
o The vision board can be physical (handmade on paper, poster board) The
reflection should be 300–500 words, either typed or handwritten clearly.

Guiding Questions to Inspire Submissions

 What are the top three values that define you, and why are they significant?
 How do these values influence your decisions and relationships?
 What does your "best life" look like, and how will your values guide you toward it?
 How can you stay grounded in your values when faced with challenges or temptations?

Evaluation Criteria

 Creativity and Presentation (Vision Board): 30%


 Clarity and Depth of Reflection: 40%
 Alignment with Personal Values: 20%
 Practicality and Relevance of Goals: 10%
