Abstraction: Discussion through the use of Power point presentation.
Packaging- the process of enclosing a product in any acceptable or suitable container in
order to protect what it sells and sell what it protects. It also includes the processes of
designing, evaluating, and producing packages that are appropriate for each type of
product.
Three levels of packaging:
1. Primary packaging
2. Secondary packaging
3. Tertiary packaging
Labels- a group of words, symbols, pictures, and anything on a package to identify,
describe, and inform the consumer about the product.
Different types of packaging materials:
1. Plastic
2. Metal
3. Glass
4. Cartoon
5. Polystyrene
Group Activity:
The students will go back to their original group.
The teacher will be giving them materials (ribbons, cartoons, colored paper, glue, etc.) and
let the students create a packaging material out of the raw materials given. They will be
graded based on the rubrics below.
