Stormy Weather Continues Across South
Southern Argentine growing areas continued to see storms, separating it from the hot and humid conditions farther north that continues to bake crops there. This weekend, rains will be excessively heavy in portions of the south as the fight to displace the ridge and hot dome continues. Relief will then be seen over central and northern areas early next week.

Storms continued across southern growing areas of Argentina yesterday and will be there for another few days before spreading northward.

Rains continued to fall across S Argentina for the 4th straight day with variable amounts. The greatest accumulations so far have been in N La Pampa and W into C Buenos Aires.
Todaythe heaviest rains should once again fall over W and S Argentina as well as parts of the far NE into S Brazil.

This weekendsoaking rains again align over S and parts of C Argentina with potentially 2-5 inches seen from S Cordoba into C Buenos Aires.

Early next week rains progress a bit farther to the north, scattering across central and north Argentina giving a widespread drink to Cordoba, Santa Fe, Entre Rios, Uruguay and to a lesser extent portions of S Brazil. One to three inch accumulations will be common (Monday-Wednesday shown).

By Thursday the front moves into Paraguay and S Brazil. Will parts of Paraguay and Rio Grande do Sul into Parana see local 3-6+ inches as the GFS once again depicts (Thursday-Saturday shown).

The expected weekly precipitation accumulation with the slow moving front (Friday-Friday) shows pockets of 5+ inches accumulating in S, W and N Argentina as well as a widespread area of 2-3 inches.
