Analysis Essay Rough Draft

- “Write the accompanying rationale for your choices. As you create each of your
three genres, that process will help you reflect on how each genre is reaching its
audience (or maybe how it might be better designed to do so than your original
idea). Your rationale should be driven by the guiding question: “How does one
approach and adapt writing so that it is appropriate and effective for its
purposes, audiences, and other rhetorical concepts?” In your rationale, you
should describe what you have intended to communicate in your Composition in
Three Genres and how you made those choices based on what you know about
the community and what you know about communicating to audiences.”

Introduction in a way

- The beginning portion of the essay would be restating some

information that is in my genre explanations that accompany the

genres. This would be just going over some facts I have already stated

as well as bringing them all in together to synthesize everything.

Body

- After the introduction section, I will start to explain more of my

communication and what I meant by each as well as what guided me

through the entire thing. Some key parts to include could be some
information on the community that helped lead to certain aspects of

the project.

● When creating my three genres, keeping in mind my audience was one of

the main things that I had to keep in mind to help guide me. In my specific

scenario, the context of my situation paired with my audience is what I had

to keep in the back of my mind to keep the genres focused enough on their

topic.

● In the topic of our guiding question, a writer must approach a writing

situation by doing enough research on the given topic and ensuring to be

kind of an “expert” on the given rhetorical situation that they are analyzing

and informing their particular audience on.

● Next thing that may be key to discuss is the way that I first analyzed my

rhetorical situation in order to understand what is the most effective way to

convey the rhetorical situation through my genres.

○ This would be an important part because this is where I need to be

careful that I am conveying my information clear and concise enough

for the audience I am writing to.

● Based on what I know about the community is how I decided what situation

I was going to convey in my genres, as well as the way that I decided to

convey it. The real life situations that we go through in the community were

definitely a helping hand in this, and gave me something to base my work

off of.
