Reading and writing in the 21st Century


Despite lots of claims that there is less reading and writing in the 21st century, it’s still
present but in different forms. Much of our communication takes place on electronic
devices that require a high level of reading and writing. It’s not always the same kind of
reading and writing that we are used to as the screen demands a different pattern of
reading with the layout on the page sometimes requiring the eyes to follow different
reading paths.
