Ans1. Grooming is the art of self presentation and is the sum of total of Pearson's appearance
and his attitude as well as a projection of his / her personality .Grooming can help people to
feel more confident and improve their self love .

Grooming is an important role of every professional work and it build the confidence and it
maintaining our lifestyle.
Grooming thus consists two aspects -
(Meta Physical)
Meta physical grooming consists of projection certain attributes of one's personality.
One must appear poised, elegant,confident and easy going ( without being casual)

Physical grooming consists of your appearance,which is categorized by the quality of your
skin,hair personal hygiene,and senses of dressing,make up,etiquette etc.

Q4. Name the Layers of the Skin?(Pass)


Ans4- ( Epidermis)
Protect and regulates the outer layer of the skin makes tougher,protective overcoat to

The dermis consists of hair follicles,sweat glands,blood vessels,capillaries,connective tissues.

Hypodermis is the third layer of the skin which contains fat and water in the skin .

Ans5. 1. Normal Skin
By definition, Normal Skin is a skin type often perceived as the gold standard due to its
balanced sebum production. It is neither too oily nor too dry. This type of skin is characterised
by a soft, smooth texture accompanied by a radiant complexion. It has minimal pores and
rarely gets any blemishes. It's less sensitive to environmental changes and usually appears
clear and velvety.
2. Dry Skin
This is a skin type where the sebaceous glands produce less sebum, affecting the skin's lipid
barrier which leads to moisture loss. Characterised by a matte or dull appearance this skin
type has the potential for roughness, flakiness, and red patches. Fine lines may also appear
prematurely on this skin type. The skin on your face can feel tight, especially after cleansing.
3. Oily Skin
By definition, oily skin is the type of skin that has hyperactive sebaceous glands, leading to an
overproduction of sebum. It is characterised by a glossy and oily appearance with enlarged
pores. While you might enjoy the sheen or glow for a while, it's not always good for the skin.
Oily skin is prone to blackheads, pimples, and other blemishes. However, the good part is that
oily skin tends to age slower due to its natural moisture.
4. Combination Skin
As the name suggests, this skin type is a combination of both oily and dry skin types. It
typically manifests as an oily T-zone and dry or normal cheeks. It is widely characterised with
a T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin) that appears shiny, while the cheeks may feel taut or even
flaky at times. This skin requires a tailored approach.
5. Sensitive Skin
This is a highly reactive skin type that can be easily irritated by products or environmental
factors. Characterised by frequent redness, itching, burning, or dryness this skin type needs all
the attention it can get without being overbearing. The triggers for this skin type can range from
skincare products to climatic conditions.

Q6. What are the causes of Acne and dark circle and also provide 02 remedies for each? (Pass)

Tomato paste contains lycopene and vitamin C, which can help lighten dark circles and even out
skin tone. You can mix fresh tomato juice with some lemon juice to form a paste, apply it to
your dark circles, and leave it on for 5-10 minutes.

B. The causes of dandruff are-
Yeast: A yeast-like fungus called Malassezia that feeds on scalp oils
Skin conditions: Other skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema can cause dandruff
Oily skin: Irritated or oily skin can cause dandruff
Dry skin: Dry skin can cause dandruff
Hair products: Sensitivity to certain hair products can cause dandruff
Diet: A diet lacking nutrients like zinc, B vitamins, and healthy fats can cause dandruff
Hormones: High hormone levels during puberty can cause more oil production and dandruff
Weather: Cold and dry winter weather can make dandruff worse
Stress: Stress can aggravate dandruff symptoms
Dandruff is characterized by visible white or gray flakes in the hair and on clothing. It can also
cause itchiness and a dry scalp.
C. Here some remedies for dandruff are-
Onion Juice:
The onion juice remedy is remarkably an effective treatment for dandruff. The onion juice
contains substances with antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. Onion juice can be
made by adding water to chopped onions and blending them followed by filtering the water or
the blended paste can be directly used on the scalp. Apply this on your scalp for around thirty
minutes before using a light shampoo to rinse it away. It’s not a pleasant scent but worth the
results.
Curd:
Yogurt, or curd, acts naturally as a hair conditioner and dandruff treatment. Put some curd on
your scalp and hair, leave it for thirty minutes, and rinse it off with a mild shampoo. Curd
contains lactic acid that helps eliminate dead skin cells and enriches the scalp.

Q8. What are the Do’s and Don’ts of Personal hygiene and Grooming Hygiene? (Merit)
Ans8. Grooming hygiene -
Grooming is an aspect of hygiene, but it's not as strongly tied to infection and disease control.
It's more about how you look. For example, trimming your nails is a grooming task. It can be
tied to hygiene if the toenails are so long that they cut other toes and cause open wounds
that can be infected.

Covering your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze
Cleaning and changing your bedding regularly
Wearing shower shoes in shared showers
Washing your hair at least twice a week
