1. INTRODUCTION
The University Sports Development Program (USDP) aims to foster athletic excellence, holistic
student development, and community engagement through structured policies, training
programs, and scholarship opportunities. This manual outlines the program’s policies,
guidelines, and implementation strategies.
2. POLICIES AND GUIDELINES
2.1 Code of Conduct
Uphold university values of integrity, professionalism, and respect.
Mandatory attendance at training sessions, competitions, and events unless prior
approval is obtained.
Refrain from unsportsmanlike conduct, including verbal or physical altercations.
2.2 Academic Standards
Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 (or as per university guidelines).
Scholars placed on academic probation will undergo mandatory academic support
programs.
Quarterly academic progress reports will be required.
Collaborate with professors to create athlete-friendly schedules and alternative
submission timelines to accommodate training and competition.

2.3 Health and Safety
Annual physical examinations are mandatory for all athletes.
Medical clearance is required for resuming activities post-injury.
Safety protocols must be observed, including proper use of equipment and adherence to
training guidelines.
2.4 Community Service Requirement
Scholars must complete a minimum of 20 hours of community service annually,
participating in outreach programs, sports clinics, or university events.
