sister were prophesied to be the downfall of the mighty thunder god Avitrum. When
Avitrum learned of this prophecy, fear consumed him, and he sought to eliminate the
threat by ending both sisters' lives.
Tragedy struck as Avitrum descended upon the twins. One sister met her unfortunate
end at the hands of the vengeful god, but Calyndra miraculously survived, albeit
barely. However, her miraculous survival was anything but fortunate, for her innate
magical powers could not mend her broken body completely. She returned from death
as an unfortunate and cursed creature—a ghoul.
