SCENE 1:
Setting: parking lot
Shags walks and abruptly stops as he steps in a puddle. He pulls out his phone
Shags: Um guys, y’all gotta come see this.
Cut to Velma, Daphne, and Fred meeting Shaggy in the lot. The gang stares in shock as the
camera pans over the water.
Freddie: No way! In one night?
Daph: It barely even rained!
Vonisha: Well there has to be some scientific explanation for this.
Freddie (confident): Looks like it’s up to the mystery gang to solve this
Shags: Any of y’all have a boat?
Scene 2
Setting: B block
The gang look around for clues.
Freddie: Hey y’all look
Fred gestures to the water fountain and presses the button
Freddie: It’s out of water.
Vonisha: (excitedly): Someone must have tampered with the valves and diverted the water
pressure to increase flooding!
Shags: Wow Vonisha how did you know that?
Vonisha: Because I, unlike you guys, have brain cells.
Freddie: Okay gang, me and Daph will look upstairs for any other clues. You guys see if you
find anything in T block.
Shags: Okay boss man.
(He turns to Velma and smiles)
Shaggs: Sooo… just me and you investigating in T block…
Vonisha: (annoyed): Actually I need to go to a lab to do some experiments. (She takes another
look at the fountain.) You can go upstairs with Freddie and Daphniesha, or whatever it is that
you do.
(Before he can protest, Velma walks off)
Scene 3
Setting: B block upstairs
(Freddie and Daph look out at the flooding)
Daph: How we supposed to get to class in all this?
Freddie: As long as you’re with me, I’d walk in this water from CATS to Micheal Eldon
Daph: Aww, Freddie you’re so sweet
(The couple move closer to each other until the camera suddenly pans to Shags at the top of
the stairs)
Shags: Oh hey guys
Freddie (annoyed but composed): Shags aren’t you supposed to be going to T block with
Vonisha?
Shags: Yeah but she had to go do some science-y stuff and I’m not going to T block alone so I
came up here to vibe with y’all.
(The pair sigh. Then a hooded figure pokes his head from around the corner)
Daph: Freddie what was that?
Shags: Y’all scarin me
(The group inches closer. The figure peeks his head out again, jumps, and bolts off)
(A scooby-doo style chase through B block ensues. Shags slips in a puddle. As the man makes
a dash through the B block entrance, Velma rounds the corner and the gang surrounds the
mystery villain)
Scene 4
Freddie: Time to figure out what villain flooded UB campus last night!
(Villain removes his hood)
Fake villain: Wait wait wait, flooded the campus? I thought the rain did this. I just wanted some
pictures!
Freddie: Wait, what?
Fake villain: I know I looked like a creep spying on y’all doing your mystery stuff. But the truth is
I’m a big fan. I see y’all’s documentaries all the time online at Mingoes Film Network on all social
media platforms. I wanted to know what it’s like to really be in it.
Vonisha: Well now you’re really in it.
Daph: But if it wasn’t you, who messed with the pipes and flooded the campus.
Freddie: Well it would have to be someone smart enough to think that far.
Shaggs: Or someone who didn’t wan come on campus
Freddie: Yeah like someone with a big midterm they didn’t want to do
Shags: That’s funny, Vonisha didn’t you have that physics exam with that professor you hate
Vonisha: Why would anyone flood the school over some stupid exam when there are turtles to
save!!
Freddie (concerned): Vonnie nobody mentioned turtles…
(The gang all slowly look at Vonisha, who looks very nervous)
Vonisha: Okay okay I did it it was me! And at first it was the exam but then I thought of the poor
turtles trapped in that pond! Nowhere to roam. I thought I could sneak in campus and set them
all free. I never thought they would still have classes. But just look at how happy they are out
there. The world at there little feet!
Daph: So you put the health and safety of UB students at risk all for the turtles… this is why
you’re my best friend!
(The group laughs and hugs before walking off)
Shags: But no seriously, anybody got a boat?
