About Us
HØN was born at Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) when five students
joined the university choir. Although they came from different academic
programs, their love for music quickly brought them together, forming a strong
friendship. Each member contributed her own style and experience, enriching
their performances and creating a unique harmony. Before long, they stood out
at university events, where their voices became the heart of academic
ceremonies and cultural activities.

After gaining recognition within the university, the group decided to take the
next step and ventured into performing at local shows. Their talent and passion
captivated audiences, drawing an ever-growing following. It was at one of these
events that the father of one of the members, a renowned organizer of the
country's "Got Talent" program, heard them sing. Impressed by their chemistry
and artistic quality, he offered them a unique opportunity: to audition for the
popular television contest.

HØN performance on the show became a phenomenon. Their impeccable

harmonies and the evident connection among the members won over both the
judges and the audience. This performance marked the beginning of their
professional career. Over time, their original songs, filled with messages of hope
and unity, started playing on local radio stations. It wasn’t long before they were
invited to perform on international stages.

about us
As their popularity grew, so did their schedule of performances. They held
concerts across Latin America and Europe, becoming cultural
ambassadors for their country. Their presence on stage was magnetic; the
passion they conveyed in their singing and the way they connected with
their audience left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who heard them.

However, at the peak of their career, during their first international tour,
tragedy struck unexpectedly. The plane they were traveling in suffered a
catastrophic accident, leaving the world in shock. Theories about the
incident quickly arose, ranging from mechanical failures to possible
conspiracies. The loss of the five members devastated not only their fans
but also an entire generation that had found comfort and joy in their
music.

Despite their tragic end, their music remains a source of inspiration, a

reminder of how art can transcend the boundaries of time and space.

dani
martinez
I’m Dani Martínez, born in 1999 in San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic. My
passion for music began at UNIBE, where I joined the university choir and met
the talented friends who became my bandmates in HØN. Together, we
created a unique harmony that quickly gained attention at university events.

As the group’s songwriter, I loved writing about hope, connection, and the
beauty of nature, which always inspired me. My songs reflected who I was and
helped us connect with people through our music. HØN grew beyond the
university, performing on big stages and becoming a voice of unity and joy.

Although my journey ended too soon, I’m proud of everything we achieved.

The music we created continues to inspire, bringing people together and
keeping our story alive.

Lyra
Hart
I’m Lyra Hart, born on April 5, 1997, in Astoria, a small country. My
parents, both humble doctors, inspired my love for helping others, so I
came to study Medicine at UNIBE. There, I joined the university choir,
and my passion for music grew stronger. That experience changed my
life, leading me to embrace my true calling: performing.

It was there that I met my bandmates, and together we formed HØN.

We quickly gained attention, performing in local venues and then on
international stages. Though our rise was short, the music we created
will live on forever. I’m proud of everything we achieved, and grateful
for the support of my parents, who, despite their initial wishes, always
backed me.

renata
lópez
I was born in Santo Domingo in 2000, into a simple yet loving family. From a young
age, I remember feeling a special connection with music. When I was 12, my
grandfather surprised me with a second-hand bass guitar, and the moment my
fingers touched the strings, I knew I had found something that defined me. Though
it wasn’t easy facing the stereotypes that claimed the bass “wasn’t for girls,” I
dedicated myself to proving that music has no gender. My influences were always
diverse: from the jazz I listened to with my grandfather to the alternative rock I
discovered in my teenage years.

When I enrolled at UNIBE to study Social Communication, I joined the university

choir, looking for a way to combine my passion for music with my interest in
connecting with people. There, I met the girls who would form HØN, and our
chemistry was instant. Despite being the most reserved in the group, I always found
my voice through the basslines I composed. To me, the bass doesn’t just set the
rhythm; it’s the bridge between melody and harmony, and I take pride in being that
link that holds together the music we create as a team.

ALFREDO
TORRES
My name is Alfredo Torres, born on February 14, 1998, in Santiago de los Caballeros,
Dominican Republic. I discovered my passion for music at age 10 when my uncle
gave me a worn-out acoustic guitar. Growing up in a humble yet loving home, my
mother, an art teacher, encouraged my creativity, while my father, a mechanic,
taught me discipline.
I started at UNIBE studying Systems Engineering, but music always pulled me back.
Joining the university choir, I met Dani, Lyra, and Carmen, and together we formed
HØN. As the lead guitarist, my style blended bachata, blues, and alternative rock,
creating a unique sound that became central to our music.
Though I hesitated to leave my studies, performing on big stages and connecting
with audiences made me realize music was my true calling. My family eventually
supported me, proud of the path I chose. HØN’s journey may have ended too soon,
but the melodies I created live on, spreading our message of unity and passion.
