INTRODUCTION

UPO plant, also known as the "Unknown Plant Organism," is a fascinating and
mysterious botanical enigma. This plant has captured the attention of scientists and
nature enthusiasts alike due to its unique characteristics and unknown origins.
UPO plant typically has a distinct appearance, with unusual leaf shapes, colors, or
growth patterns. Its flowers, if present, may be intricate and beautiful, adding to its
allure. However, what truly sets the UPO plant apart is its ability to thrive in diverse
environments, often in areas where other plants struggle to survive.

II. OBJECTIVES
Specifically to determine the following.
Determine the growth performance of Upo (Lagenaria siceraria)

1.1 Total number of upo "lagenaria siceraria" seeds to germinate


2.2 Number of days to flower

III. MATERIALS NEEDED


1.1 Upo seeds (2) packs (1) failed (1) success
2.2 Urea (46-0-0)
3.3 Complete (14-14-14)
4.4 Pickmattock
5.5 Shovel/ Handtrowel
6.6 Bolo/Rake

IV. METHODOLOGY or PROCEDURE


-Do a land preparation, land clearing, measuring the plot for planting
-Buy the upo seed and prepare the plot and lay-out for planting
-Pre-germinate the seeds by wrapping in a moist cloth and place in a cool and dark
place. Incubate until the seed coat breaks
-Plant the seeds in the prepared plot with the desire number of seeds
-Water it daily when the soil is dry
-Maintan the seedlings by watering regularly when needed
-Harden the seedlings by gradually reducing the frequency of watering and exposing to
direct sunlight
-Monitor it daily or twice a week to see if there is sign of pest, and symptoms of
diseases until the harvesting

We can see that out of 52 speeds of upo that i planted 40pcs of it


germinated within the span of 7days, but not all grew because of the typhoon and
rainfall that caused the melting, and the second direct seeding out of 53 seeds,
20 ang germinated just in 7days again, but like the 1st plants, they not all grew
bcs of the typhoon and rainfall. after that germination ,but soon whittled that why i
planted another one but failed again due to the seeds and didn’t germinate, after
some of time i plant again and it succed but some of them died but i managed to
take care of few and it grows

After almost 3months of taking care of my upo, my plant are all dead
because of the typhoon and rainfall, it cause melting the rotting of the whole
plant.
