warmth to the scene.

Skill 3: Creating a Strong Setting
Explanation: A great setting pulls the reader into the story. Use vivid descriptions and
precise details.
Task 3: Describe the setting of a mysterious forest.
Model Answer: The forest was shrouded in mist, the tall trees casting long, shadowy
fingers over the damp earth. A faint rustling echoed in the distance, and the air smelled
